About the host
Hosted by Lisa

Hi I’m Lisa owner & host of the Aultnamain Shepherds Hut.
I am originally from Yorkshire but have lived in the Scottish Highlands for 30 years, working as a specialised public health nurse & raising my now grown up children.
I decided to Host my Shepherds Hut as an alternative to nursing, looking for a quieter peaceful Existence.
Aultnamain has a long history of providing refuge to travellers & farmers moving their stock along the Drovers road (now the Struie Road or B9176) going back a few hundred years, known as a half way house in 1800,s up until 1995 when it closed its doors as the Aultnamain Inn (infamous for lock ins & live music Events) & became 3 individual homes.
