About this property

Hilltop Stable

If you're yearning to slow down and reconnect with nature, Hilltop Stable offers the perfect escape. Nestled on the edge of a historic farmstead, this lovingly converted stable invites you to retreat from the rush of everyday life and immerse yourself in the peace and romance of the countryside.

Start your day with coffee in the charming front yard, complete with a patio and outdoor furniture, or unwind in the spacious rear yard, where a fire pit, comfortable seating, and views of open skies await. There's secure bike storage for your rural adventures and private parking for two cars. One small, well-behaved dog is welcome to join you, though smoking is not permitted.

Inside, the open-plan layout combines rustic charm with thoughtful comfort. A cozy double bed, snug living and dining areas, and a well-equipped kitchen provide everything you need for a relaxed stay. The bathroom features a classic roll-top bath and a heated towel rail, perfect for soothing soaks after a day outdoors. Please note that there is no stand up shower. You'll also enjoy electric central heating, complimentary electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linens, towels, and a starter supply of logs for the firepit.

Step outside to your private patio, where a swing chair invites you to sway gently beneath the open sky. Meander through your exclusive outdoor space — complete with a picnic table, fire pit, private woodland, and open fields. Don't be surprised if the resident Shetland pony wanders by to say hello.

Whether you're curling up with a book or setting out to explore the nearby New Forest National Park, Hilltop Stable offers a retreat into nature and simplicity. With a variety of walking trails, cycling routes, and characterful pubs and restaurants just a short drive away, you'll find that every moment here is made for slowing down and savoring the good life.

The garden is not fenced off so dogs will need to be monitored/kept on a leash.

What an amazing little gem! ️️️

The location was easy to find, and it was so peaceful and quiet. We were met with a warm welcome from the host Jenny and her husband Terry, then was shown around the beautiful accommodation and farmland. The accommodation caters to all your needs, and if there was anything we wanted, Jenny was there and ever so helpful. We bought food from a local butcher/ farm shop in The New Forest and cooked everyday, the appliances were simple and easy to use. The bed was like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. The luxurious bath with bubbles was great to relax in after long days walking around the local towns and The New Forest. Jenny had a lot of great suggestions on where to go and places to see. We were told we could explore the grounds, and all the huts were accessible. Oh, what a joy! I felt like a kid again exploring and discovering the land and the shepherd's huts and all the wonders inside. There's even a fairy garden hidden amongst some trees! Jenny really has thought of everything. If you want to relax by the stable and chill on the egg swing and listen to the birds or meander over to the cutest and friendliest Shetland pony Hector and have a nosie around in all the little shepherd's huts or just sit and watch the sunset beside a burning firepit and roast marshmallows, it will be the best choice you'll make. It has all you could need and more. Thank you so much Jenny your place is so amazingly beautiful. It has done wonders for my soul. I will be visiting again soon! ️
