Set over 3 floors, it features 4 bedrooms (double, twin and 2 singles), a cosy lounge with wood burner, well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, and private courtyard garden. Full of charm but not without modern comforts, the cottage offers the best of both worlds! Voted one of the top villages in Britain, Sherston is a perfect base for a relaxing countryside escape.
The Space:
The property is well-suited for families. Together with 4 single beds across 3 bedrooms, you'll find two travel cots, so the kids won't be fighting for their own room! You can also make use of a high chair stair gates, children's dinnerware and a box of toys. Downstairs is a separate utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave - ideal for those with young children.

From Lantern House, you’re just a short stroll from the village Post Office and grocery shop, which stocks delicious local produce, ideal for picking up fresh ingredients or a quick snack. There’s a large children’s playground and recreation field just a few minutes walk away, complete with an obstacle course - perfect for families with little ones.
Food lovers are spoiled for choice. The Rattlebone Inn serves excellent pub classics in a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. The Angel café is a favourite for breakfast, brunch or afternoon tea. Lucy Tom's courtyard café offers a great selection of toasties and paninis, while The Bridge Indian restaurant and takeaway delivers top-notch curries just minutes from your door.

For those bringing a vehicle, free on street parking is available in the surrounding streets. Sherston benefits from great travel connections, being only around 15-20 minutes drive off the M4 into the Cotswolds. London Heathrow is around an hour and half drive, and Bristol airport is around 1 hour.
For those travelling by public transport, the closest train station is in Chippenham where trains operated by South Western Railway run all the way from London Paddington. It's then around a 20 minute drive to the cottage - both taxis and car hire are available from the station. Kemble station is also a similar distance but is less well serviced by taxis and car hire.
