Y LLaethdy - 2 Bedroomed Farm Cottage with Stunning Coastal Views

Y Llaethdy – Nantmawr Farm

Welcome to Y Llaethdy, a beautifully appointed two-bedroom cottage set within 50 acres of rolling farmland, boasting breathtaking views over Cardigan Bay. Just 400 metres from the Wales Coast Path and two miles from the iconic Mwnt beach, it’s the perfect base for exploring Ceredigion and the stunning North Pembrokeshire coastline.

Thoughtfully decorated to a high standard, Y Llaethdy offers a warm and comfortable retreat with everything you need for a peaceful coastal escape. Enjoy glorious sunsets from the west-facing patio or take in the ever-changing seascape from the glass-panelled dining room – ideal even on rainy days.

Nature lovers will feel at home here. Our land stretches east into a wooded gully and west to the cliffs and rocky shoreline – a haven for wildlife. Watch red-billed choughs soar, glimpse seals and dolphins in the bay, and look out for house martins returning each year to nest in the eaves.

The surrounding area is criss-crossed with public footpaths, offering endless opportunities for scenic walks right from your doorstep.

Accommodation Includes:
• Two double bedrooms
• Modern shower room
• Open-plan lounge and fully equipped kitchen with full-size cooker, fridge-freezer, and dishwasher
• A glass-panelled dining room with uninterrupted views across the bay
• Private, self-contained access

Cardigan (Aberteifi) is just four miles away, offering a vibrant high street filled with independent shops, cafes, and restaurants, as well as supermarkets including Tesco, Aldi, and B&M – close enough for convenience, yet far enough to enjoy perfect peace, quiet, and star-filled night skies.

The Wales Coast Path passes directly through our land, with Mwnt just two miles to the west and the golden beaches, pubs, and restaurants of Aberporth only three miles to the east. Other local gems such as Tresaith, Llangrannog, Poppit Sands, Cenarth Falls, and the Preseli Hills are just a short drive away.

A very well appointed, spotlessly clean accommodation with views to calm your soul . Incredibly good value for money .Had a bit of difficulty finding the entrance but think that was us being a bit daft .Beautiful walks along the coast path from the bottom of the property.

What a beautiful stay

We had such a fantastic stay at Y Llaethddy. The property was spotless, so comfortable, with very thoughtful provisions and everything we needed. On arriving we set straight off for a walk along the coast path which was stunning and we were lucky enough to see dolphins too! Having dinner in the dining room with that view was an amazing treat, and then we saw a young buzzard sitting 10 feet away on a fence from where we were sat. We can’t recommend a stay here enough, thank you so much for your hospitality Alun and Sheelagh - we hope we can come back for longer next time!
