Come relax in our charming 1904 apartment in Demorest directly across from Piedmont University. Spend the day in the North GA mountains & stay warm & cozy at night. Wake to coffee of your choice & homemade muffins. You'll love being so close to waterfall hikes, local wineries, Tallulah Falls and The Gorge, Appalachian Trail, Piedmont College, Alpine Helen, zip-lining, etc.

This is a 1 bedroom apartment with the warmth of a historic property that has been completely modernized and beautifully decorated. This apartment is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furbabies. Anyone wanting a comfy rest at the end of a day of activities.
With a full subway-tiled kitchen you can cook fresh eggs in the morning from my chickens, enjoy your choice of coffee from the keurig, and butter a fresh baked treat left for each guest. Or have a wonderful weekend brunch at Sweetbreads just across the street from the house.
Cable Tv via YouTubeTV, as well and Prime, Netflix and internet. Super comfy bed ( with excellent quality sheets as any Southern lady would fix a bed) . Classic black and white tiled bathroom and everything steam cleaned in between each guest. This place is great for Piedmont parents, day-hikers, or contractors working in the area.

This is one of two completely separate apartments in this house, so consider the 2 bedroom apartment if you're traveling with extended family and need a separate space at the same location. Perfect for visiting your Piedmont student with the grandparents along as well.

This owner cares about her guests!

Owner is very responsive; place is clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you could need; and we didn’t even have to buy breakfast out for the two days we were there as we found a breakfast casserole, muffins, bagels, fruit, yogurt and fresh eggs waiting for us (now how many VRBO owners do that?!) We had a great stay…the purpose being a visit to Helen, Georgia. Would highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. I can’t say enough about this place!! We have stayed in many VRBO’s and this is way way at the top!! So so clean, charmingly decorated and so well thought out!! Everything you could think you might need was there! Many great extras like farm fresh eggs, fresh muffins, many condiments, coffee, tea, spices, even dog treats!! We LOVED it and will be back!!

This hostess truly has a knack for making you feel at home. The apartment is spot on in design and comfort. The extra touches from the home made breakfast casserole to the dog treats and bed makes this place extra special. The location is perfect to explore quaint little towns in north Georgia. I live just up the street in a 1908 house that I'm currently working on. So I'm just a phone call away if you were to need anything. This is my first home/first restoration, a 1904 house. I bought this house and worked on it while attending Piedmont College. I fell in love with the cute little town of Demorest.

Why they chose this property

Gorgeous, charming small town in the middle of North GA hiking and attractions. Get away is an extremely clean space (all surfaces meticulously cleaned and steamed between guests).

What makes this property unique

Sweetbreads restaurant is right out the front door. If you choose not to cook, it's so nice at the end of the day to have a great meal with a glass of wine and walk home to the porch.
Temperance House Coffee on the corner for great coffee, breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon treat.
