Tucked away on a quaint, tree-lined street, our prime location is just a stone's throw from a delightful array of dining options, iconic historical sites, St. George Street's shopping district, the picturesque Bayfront, and all the city's attractions. You'll be pleased to know that Francis Field, where numerous festivals take place, is only a two-minute stroll away.

We've designed this sanctuary to be your perfect base for exploring the Old City. After a day of sightseeing, return to unwind and recharge in our serene retreat. The enclosed front, side, and backyard boast tropical lemon and orange fruit trees. Fancy a BBQ? Our private backyard comes complete with a gas grill, and a Bluetooth BOSE speaker is at your service for outdoor ambiance. We've even added a stone patio and fire pit, enhancing your home away from home.

Anticipating your every need has been our mission, and over the years, we've fine-tuned every detail. As VRBO Preferred Partners and SuperHosts, our unique home features artistic touches, including hand-painted Sticks furniture, Shoestring Creations headboards, and Mackenzie Child's decor throughout. The hosts, David and Wendy went above and beyond expectations. The home is very well equipped with absolutely everything you need and more. Personally I enjoyed the Keurig Coffee maker and listening to Frank on the Victrola. The home is also within walking distance of many of the popular sights of St. Augustine.

Wonderful stay

My family came into St. Augustine for Memorial Day weekend. The property is in a charming historic area with an easy walk to the old center of the city. The check in was simple and the communication from the owners was excellent. The house was comfortable for our family, and we’d definitely stay again.

Fabulous Home Away From Home

We absolutely love this home - it was our 4th visit. When we arrive, everything is just as it should be. Lovely back yard to sit outside and enjoy beautiful weather. This home is charming and Doug and Wendy are terrific hosts. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful remodeled house with many artistic decorations that add a lot. The neighborhood seems safe and in walking distance of downtown and many restaurants and activities. The owners are great and accessible.

Great place! Great location!

Super cute house. The owners, David and Wendy, were very thoughtful in stocking the house with amenities: fire pit, games, toiletries and even a welcoming bottle of wine. They were also very quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to this great city.

We came into St. Augustine to attend the Celtic Music & Heritage Festival at Francis Field. The house could not have been better located. Wendy and David are the most gracious of hosts! Couldn't ask for a better family to rent from and we're already planning for a stay in 2025!

Family Getaway

This property is simply amazing. The owners go WAY above to give their guests an absolutely great experience. I was shocked this was a rental because it felt like home. The home was immaculate. Owners were very responsive, checked if we needed anything, expectations far exceeded and will book again for another trip. This VRBO is close to downtown for some shopping and food and the walk is quick.

Wonderful Family Stay in St. Augustine

My family had an amazing time at this home! The hosts were incredibly gracious, and it’s clear they take great pride in their home and the service they provide. The eclectic style and vibrant colors made my young kids feel right at home, and the wide variety of games kept everyone entertained. The upscale appliances and amenities were a hit with the adults and much appreciated. Being just a few blocks from Downtown was convenient, though you might still need to drive to reach King Street. I highly recommend this home to anyone visiting St. Augustine, and we will definitely be back!

Tired Teacher Get-A-Way

We had four great days of laughing and relaxing. Collectively, we have stayed in many homes-and this was by far the cleanest, cutest and most accommodating. Julie and David thought of everything, and made us feel very special. We all agree we give 6 Loring 5 stars and recommend it to anyone wanting to visiting St. Augustine!!

Beautifully Decorated and Very Comfy

We were very impressed from the time we drove up until we had picked out our bedrooms (all very spacious) I cannot think of anything that was not top notch. All appliances, furniture, dishes, etc were supplied and very nice. They added little ‘just in case’ supplies for us and they didn’t skimp with cheap paper towels or tissue. You could spend hours enjoying the art through out the house. I highly recommend it. We plan to return soon

Perfection!

I just can’t say enough how perfect this home was for our first trip to St. Augustine. Perhaps if you’ve been there before, you may prefer to stay on the waterfront or elsewhere. However, for first timers, I cannot recommend a property more! For starters, the decor sparks pure joy! It’s everything you want in a beachy escape. For our little family (mom, dad, grandmother, 6-yo) it was beyond spacious with every amenity you can think of and a backyard fire pit oasis for post-long days out and about. Access to the pool and beach club was amazing. Yes, it’s a drive, but super easy and well worth it (kids pool was a hit, food was excellent, and beach access was so enjoyed). Overall, though, this home was just so perfectly situated. We could walk in town (as we did many days) for things like the pirate museum, wonderful restaurants, and the fort. And we could walk to the fountain of youth (and a great brunch spot - the RainTree Cafe) for a more low-key Sunday. It was an easy drive to the alligator farm and the pool/beach. Really just a treasure of a spot for any first-timer to st. Augustine. P.S. the hosts were lovely to communicate with!

We have stayed in a number of VRBOs, and have to say that this property stood out! We loved the decor, great appliances, well-appointed rooms, and the feeling of home.Everything in the house was very clean, fresh-feeling, and was clearly labeled. The owners were super responsive and friendly, and are definitely VRBO all-stars!Very easy walk to the Old Town of St Augustine, and had parking which was a major plus.We would 100% plan a trip around this particular property's availability if we need to return to St Augustine again.

A Treasure Chest in the City

Every inch of this home felt like a gift. From the eclectic beachy artwork to the thoughtful extras tucked into every corner, it was clear the hosts poured love and care into every detail. Close to Everything!

We spent a week in this property as a family of four with two teenagers. It was centrally located within walking distance to many of the to-do’s in St Augustine. The house was well appointed with all necessities and even had many extras that were extremely useful and enjoyable, like the record player and Bluetooth speakers. The living room was perfect for relaxing after a hot day out walking the historic district and sightseeing. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This house was absolutely beautiful! It was very clean and beautifully decorated. The owners have truly thought of everything that you might need while on vacation and then some. The location was perfectly located close to all of the attractions but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy a quiet, relaxing stay. Best Ever Home We've Stayed In

This home is extremely charming and very well decorated. It was spacious and comfortable. The owners were extremely responsive to a couple of questions we had for them. They really thought of everything. Even supplies of often forgotten items were provided in the bathroom like toothpaste etc. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. Its just a short walk to the fort and St. George Street. We would definitely want to stay again.

We live most of the year outside of Boston in the town of Sharon, MA overlooking Lake Massapoag in our empty-nesting house. In 2021 we stayed in St Augustine from January through March in this house and we loved it so much, we bought another vacation rental just a few blocks away so we could come down more often.

We were busy in 2022 and early 2023 working on our dream reno project. We took an existing warehouse and turned it into an artsy industrial vacation rental. It's a combination of art and an industrial vibe!

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood because during a business trip to Amelia Island, we ventured on a one hour and fifteen-minute drive to St. Augustine while it was beautifully adorned for the Nights of Lights. We instantly fell in love with the town, and the fact that it was celebrating its 450th anniversary during our visit made it even more special. Before this trip, we were not even aware of the existence of St. Augustine. Intrigued by the charm and history of the place, we embarked on a house-hunting journey but couldn't find the right fit at first. Therefore, we decided to rent the Original St. Augustine Guest House on Hypolita Street until early 2020. Surprisingly, shortly after this rental, we stumbled upon and purchased the house on Loring Street, which we hold a deep affection for and are confident you will too.

It offers a spacious and modern living space, complete with three comfortable bedrooms. The real gem of this property is the backyard, featuring a firepit and BBQ, perfect for outdoor gatherings and relaxation.

One standout feature of this property is its affiliation with the prestigious Serenata Beach Club. As our VRBO guests, you have the opportunity to join this exclusive club by completing a temporary guest membership form. The Serenata Beach Club offers a plethora of amenities, including three pools, an adult-only hot tub, a restaurant and bar, a fully-equipped fitness center, and more. It's a mere 10-minute drive from the house and is available for an additional fee. This membership can accommodate up to six people for a memorable stay of up to seven days.
