We booked last minute and this house could not have been better. It's in an ideal location. The downtown area is very close but you still get the peace of a quiet neighborhood. The house was beautiful, clean and stocked with everything you'd need. The bathroom had spare items in case you forgot anything - the hosts really thought of everything. They also were very responsive and attentive during our stay. Everything was easy to locate and we could not have been happier. Would highly recommend this property!

Wendy and Dave are wonderful hosts! Their home is beautiful and welcoming. We enjoyed looking at all the unique artwork and style throughout the home. They provided us with coffee kcups, towels and chairs for the beach, toiletries and laundry detergent. Perfect location to downtown St Augustine. Our family created memories to last a lifetime. The Guest House is a lovely place to spend some time in St. Augustine! The property was relaxing, spacious, beautifully decorated, and well equipped for our stay. Wendy and I are lifelong entrepreneurs and the owners of TeamBonding, a corporate events company built around bringing people together through fun, creative, and challenging experiences.

Most of the year, we live in Sharon, Massachusetts, outside Boston, overlooking beautiful Lake Massapoag. In early 2021, we spent January through March at our Downtown St. Augustine Guest House and fell in love with the home, the neighborhood, and the city. We enjoyed it so much that we purchased another property just a few blocks away, giving us even more reasons to return.

In 2022 and early 2023, we took on our dream renovation project, transforming an industrial warehouse into the ArtHouse, a colorful and imaginative vacation rental filled with local art, handcrafted details, and plenty of personality.

We love creating memorable experiences, whether we’re bringing teams together through TeamBonding or welcoming guests to one of our St. Augustine homes. We hope you’ll love this city and this special house as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We first discovered St. Augustine almost by accident. During a business trip to Amelia Island, we made the one-hour-and-fifteen-minute drive to visit the city during Nights of Lights. The streets were beautifully decorated, and St. Augustine was celebrating its 450th anniversary, making our first visit especially memorable.

Before that trip, we had never even heard of St. Augustine. We immediately fell in love with its history, charm, and welcoming spirit and soon began searching for a home of our own. When we couldn’t find the right one, we rented the Original St. Augustine Guest House on Hypolita Street, where we continued enjoying the city until early 2020.

Not long afterward, we found and purchased our Loring Street home. We fell deeply in love with the house, its peaceful neighborhood, and its incredible location. It remains very special to us, and we’re confident you’ll love it too.

What makes this property unique

This home has a charm and personality all its own. Tucked away on a quiet, tree-lined street just off San Marco Avenue, it feels peaceful and private while keeping you close to everything that makes St. Augustine special.

Francis Field is only a two-minute walk away and hosts many of the city’s most popular festivals and events. The historic City Gate, St. George Street, Castillo de San Marcos, and the Bayfront are also within walking distance.

Stroll to restaurants, bars, galleries, museums, shops, and attractions without worrying about driving or parking. The Old Town Trolley is nearby when you want to explore more of the city, and Vilano Beach is just a short drive away.

What makes this location so appealing is the balance. Spend the day enjoying the history and energy of downtown St. Augustine, then return to a quiet neighborhood where you can relax.

Inside, the home features a bright, open layout filled with colorful artwork, distinctive furnishings, and comfortable space for your group. Three inviting bedrooms and two full bathrooms make it a wonderful choice for families, couples, and friends.

The private backyard is one of the home’s most loved features. Surrounded by tropical landscaping, it offers several places to unwind. Grill dinner on the BBQ, enjoy coffee or drinks on the stone patio, play music through the Bluetooth BOSE speaker, or gather around the fire pit after a day of exploring.
