It's a simple and beautiful home. It's older and smaller than the homes you'll see on the ocean side of the island, and it feels very cozy. The perfect size for me and my husband and our two corgis. You walk up the stairs and feel comfortable and right at home. There are so many windows that let in lots of natural light, and yet the landscaping and natural vegetation surrounding the home make it feel very private. The street is quiet without a lot of traffic. It's a very short walk to the bay and an even shorter walk to the public beach access. We like to visit SGI during the off season, and we met a few neighbors in the evenings walking our dogs - they were very kind and nice as well. The view of the bay is second to none. We spend hours on the screened in porch watching the eagles and the herons fly back and forth. I always look to book here first whenever I am planning our late-February trip to SGI. Jennifer is a great host and very responsive.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The host, Jennifer, was responsive from the very get go when we checked in. My son and I loved the location because we had easy access to the bayside as well. At night during low tide we could walk out into the bay and catch blue crabs. It’s also great because you are close to the state park as well. The house was clean and had everything we needed including beach accessories. I definitely recommend staying at this property!
This is our second time to this property and we love it. Feels nice and secluded but within walking distance to everything. Great place for a getaway!

Needs some work in the yard as well as the home. The pictures of the property are not current photos and this property needs lots TLC. First and last time trying VRBO.
Great, quiet neighborhood. Property was clean & comfortable. Nice area to walk our dog. Convenient to all amenities on the island. We had a great stay!
Had a great stay at this property. The observation deck was very nice and the house was set up perfectly. The AC went out while we were there but the owner was very prompt in getting it repaired so that was appreciated.
This house is perfect little getaway place for a small family. The decor was adorable and well placed! All appliances worked. The parking places were tight under the house, so we had to park our truck and boat on the road side (there was plenty of room there!). The backyard are could use a little bit of tree trimming, but overall this place was perfect!
Quiet area away from the main hub but close enough to enjoy all the amenities. Clean and very accommodating owners, responded quickly to any questions. The place is beautiful!
This was a perfect spot to get away and relax. The house was exactly as described, with no surprises. Easy access to the beach and to town. St George Island is our new favorite spot.

Steps and more steps!
Furniture could be updated and more comfortable. It would be nice to inform renters about the amount of steps not easy on seniors! Other than that beautiful view of the bay and well stocked kitchen.
Beautiful home with phenomenal view of the bay which made for perfect bird-watching including daily visits from the bald eagles! Nice to have two bedrooms each with king-sized beds and very comfortable mattresses. Well equipped kitchen for basic cooking but thoroughly enjoyed the local fare and restaurants. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.
We were able to enjoy this delightful retreat, just in advance of various state Covid lockdowns. With many local amenities closed, the house provided a great rest and retreat for us, bald eagles, the golf cart, and the various decks we are a great getaway for our Midwest family of four. The dual suites were another plus as our teens did not feel like second fiddle With the full washroom connected to the bedroom. Book with confidence as this is a great Vrbo.

Beautiful home and great location!
My husband and I along with our 2 Golden’s took a trip down to one of our favorite spots and had the pleasure of booking this perfect home. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. The location was perfect; seating out on the decks enjoying the bay view with a cocktail in the afternoon or coffee in the morning. As well as just a short walk with our dogs to the beach. Perfect!! Thank you for sharing!,

Thank you for your kind words. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come back again. Our house is new to the rental market and we wanted to make it as comfortable and relaxing for our guests as possible. We want you to love it as much as we do. Please let us know next time you are heading to the island. We would love to have you and your goldens as our guests again.
Kindest regards,
Jennifer
The home and property were beautiful and perfect. We knew it backed up to the state land on the bay and so that was one of the reasons we booked it initially but the views once we got there were better than we imagined! We could see a bald eagle nest from the screened in porch. Incredible. The home was spotless and very well maintained. We were very comfortable there and so were our dogs. The walk to the beach takes minutes and we made that walk often while we are there. The street is quiet and the neighbors were all so polite. We love spending time on SGI in the “off season”. I’m so glad we chose to stay here for our trip this year!
This house is quite nice, well laid out, and comfortable. The view is gorgeous. Unfortunately, the property isn't being well maintained. The screen porch, which is why I booked it, had huge detached panels of screen. The beds are comfy but are ruined by pilled sheets (which were once really nice cotton). The hammock is completely torn in half. The location is great and I wish it was better maintained because if it were, I would book here again.
We had a wonderful stay on St George Island!
This vacation property is in a perfect location for a short walk to the beach and beautiful views of the bay. The back of the property is adjacent to preserved land and was great for watching the bald eagles, great blue herons and song birds. The screened in porch is tree top level. The house had everything we needed from a well appointed kitchen to yoga mats and beach chairs. The beds were very comfortable and provided a much needed rest from real life. Beautifully decorated and “beachy”, It is a well used unit and showed some age and use. We were very happy with our stay and look forward to the possibility of another visit.
House is nicely decorated and is very well stocked with most things you need - we actually over packed beach gear and kitchen items. Beautiful view of bay from all levels of house. Parking under house is a little tricky because of narrow space and positioning vehicle so you can open doors. On Thursday of our stay the stove/oven stopped working. Owner said she would come check but never came. We improvised and had family bring us a camp stove/toaster oven so we could cook.

Thank you, Angie. I'm glad your family enjoyed your stay. I think you must have spoken to our property manager, Sammy, about the stove because I wasn't on the island at the time. It's my understanding that the stove stopped working because water boiled over and it tripped the breaker and it just took some time to dry it out. In any event, I'm happy you like the house and hope you'll come back again!
Kindest regards,
Jennifer

Pleasant, great location, a little outdated and benefits for better cleaning
Generally, we had a very pleasant time. The house has a great location. It is in the secluded wooded area with 5-minutes walk to the beach. House itself is a very nice place for 2 couples or a family of 4-6 people. It has fully stocked kitchen (although addition of cork opener and placemats/tablecloth would be nice). Although, the dining table is covered with the sticky paint, something should be done about it. The beach gears in the shed, such as nice beach chairs and a trolly wagon cart, are a great addition.
Of note, a better general cleaning is needed. We noticed a lot of dust, specifically on the light fixtures. A cleaning and better maintenance of the outside areas, including decks, is a must.
This rental was not as advertised. No hot tub, screened in porch has completely torn window screens, stairway filthy and smelled like cat urine, bed sheets were pilled and old, barbecue wheel fell off when using, grass unmowed, outdoor area under house was unsightly with torn unusable hammock, tv cable did not exist and when contacted the host never returned call nor addressed the issue when messaged. A totally unacceptable rental!

Nice location; house and check in need help
Nice location with a good view of the marsh from top deck and decent furnishings. The house was rather dirty, fridge leaks, and the water stands in the carports because of poor grading. The carpet on stairs from entrance to second floor is badly soiled and smells. Rest of the hard woods on second and third floor are fine. VRBO sent us the wrong door code, and the owner took a day to respond to our requests for alternate instructions. We had to shimmy through a second floor window left open to get in the day of arrival. House needs work, and VRBO and owner need to get their act together.
I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely home on the bay with my sister and my nieces/nephews. This was our first time on SGI and it didn’t disappoint. Communication with the host and checking-in was a breeze. When we first arrived, the first thing we noticed was the beautiful bay, how lovely the home was decorated and all the amenities we didn’t realize was included (thanks, Jennifer!).
The sunsets from the crows nest and the deck was something truly out of a magazine. And the beds were super comfortable! The kitchen was well-stocked with all the tools to make a meal, enjoy a cup of coffee, or pour a glass of wine.
It’s true what they say about the island, there’s no bad spots, but this home was located within a mile or so to the square and only a short walk or drive to the beach. Dog-walking was one of my favorite rituals this week!
Finally, we had the opportunity to meet the host and her family as they were down for the holiday. It’s nice knowing we were renting from such nice, hospitable people. We cannot wait to go back to SGI and we will be staying here or another one of Jennifer’s properties next time!
