Peony is a single-storey lodge and consists of an open-plan living area with double gas oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, dining seating for four people, and sitting area with Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with en-suite shower room and a twin, serviced by a shower room. Outside, there is an enclosed wraparound veranda with furniture, along with designated, off-road parking for two cars. Shared outbuilding with communal facilities including a payphone, external shower rooms, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board, books, games, DVDs, and tourist information. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. You'll find a shop in 0.4 miles and a pub in 0.5 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are inc. in rent. Peony is a lovely base for a rural retreat in Herefordshire. Note: Three steps up to property, please take care. Note: There is limited WiFi coverage in the area. Free fishing is available at Arrow Bank for anyone staying in our lodges. We are located on the river Arrow and we have a stocked pool (Jennifer’s Pool) on site, which is free of charge for self catering guests - Rules and passes to be collected from reception. Town: The beautiful village of Eardisland is set on the banks of the River Arrow and is a picturesque location for a peaceful holiday. With local pubs, tea rooms and a community store selling local produce which is set within the dovecote, this quaint village has everything you will need. A variety of birdlife can be found around the river which makes this a charming place to stay. Close by, the picturesque village of Weobley, once voted one of the top ten places to live in England, has many timber-framed buildings, and excellent facilities including a village shop, local pubs and the renowned Jules restaurant. Hay-on-Wye, the town of books, is within easy reach as are medieval Ludlow, the cathedral city of Hereford with its medieval bridge spanning the River Wye, Mappa Mundi world map and Chained Library. The magnificent Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park also make a great day out. Surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside including Offa's Dyke and the Golden Valley, this is an excellent location for walking and cycling trails as well as sampling wonderful local produce at a local cheese factory, vineyard and cider farms.
