Bank Cottage consists of a kitchen/diner with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, a sitting room with a TV, a selection of books and a utility with a freezer. There are two bedrooms: one king-size with a TV and one double with a TV. The shower room includes a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. The property is warmed by gas central heating. Entertainment is provided via a TV, a selection of books, and WiFi. Fuel, power, a starter pack for the stove, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. A cot and highchair are available on request. Outside, there is an enclosed front courtyard garden with furniture, and roadside parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The picturesque village of Castleton is three miles away, home to fascinating caves, including the Blue John Cavern, and is overlooked by the crumbling Mam Tor or 'Shivering Mountain'. The dramatic scenery of Winnats Pass and Edale in the Edale Valley, famous as the start of the Pennine Way, is nearby. Hathersage is just four miles away and has excellent cafes and an open-air, heated swimming pool. Slightly further afield you can potter around the historic market town of Bakewell, or the Spa town of Buxton, renowned for its spring water, opera house and arts, jazz and opera festivals. It is easy to spend a whole day at Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, whilst there are many historic properties nearby. Pull on your boots and enjoy the spectacular scenery, or explore a web of cycling trails, with bike hire available on the Monsal Trail, the Tissington Trail and at the Derwent Reservoir.
