The cottage was in ecellent decorative order and very clean. The kitchen is very small and no room to fold out the table for eating in the main room. Bedrooms very comfortable. Easy to park on the road.

Perfect location for exploring The Peak District

It was our second stay at Goatscliffe Cottages which we chose again for its proximity to Buxton, Chee Dale, Bakewell and the Monsal Trail.

The house is ideal and well thought out. Only suggestion if you are staying here would be to take logs and kindling with you on arrival as only 2 are provided. In addition take toilet rolls, as there was only half of one on arrival. Livkily we took logs, kindling, firefighters and toilet roll with us. It would also be nice if an ash bucket could be provided by the owner.

A very comfortable if compact cottage, in which we really enjoyed having a short break at the end of May. The kitchen and dining area are quite tight, but the garden and summerhouse are a real bonus. Cottage very nicely furnished and presented and much to be recommended. Lovely wildlife garden next door with very friendly neighbour!

Well kept cottage in a lovely area

We had a lovely time staying here, very clean and close to lots of lovely walks. Only thing to note is the property is a lot more snug than we expected, we went with two couples and 3 dogs and only just fit but we still had a nice stay.

Great little property

Very sweet little cottage in a good location and very well presented. Lovely garden & summerhouse, a little tight in the kitchen and upstairs shower but the upside forgives that. Nice neighbours too, would stay there again

Cozy cottage in a great location

This cottage has many features to make it a cozy, comfortable, yet convenient place to stay. Our children enjoyed the spiral staircase, hidden closet spaces, and garden sitting room :) most features were on the small side but perfect for a holiday getaway to remember!

Excellent accommodation in beautiful setting

All round excellent stay in the property. 2 couples and a small dachshund, thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this accommodation, check in was easy, communication was quick and the property is even better than the pictures suggest. The bathrooms and bedrooms in particular are done to a very high standard. This is also perfectly placed for exploring this area of the Peak District

We are Taylor Holiday Lets, a local family run holiday let business, and we personally manage and care for every property we host. Being hands on means we know each home inside out and can make sure it is always well prepared for your stay.

We live locally and love the Peak District and surrounding areas. We enjoy helping guests make the most of their time here, whether that is recommending great walks, places to eat or family friendly days out. Our focus is on creating relaxed, comfortable stays where guests feel well looked after, without anything feeling over managed or impersonal.

We take pride in offering well maintained homes, clear communication and a friendly, responsive approach from booking through to check out.

Why they chose this property

We chose this area because Grindleford offers everything we love about the Peak District in one place. It is surrounded by some of the most beautiful walking and cycling routes in the area, with places like Padley Gorge, Froggatt Edge and the Longshaw Estate right on the doorstep. The scenery is open, peaceful and constantly changing, making it a place you never tire of returning to.

What we enjoy most is the balance the village offers. It feels quiet and tucked away, yet has a train station with great links to nearby villages and cities, making it easy to explore without always using the car. We have spent a lot of time here ourselves and fell in love with how relaxed the area feels, whether you are heading out for long walks or simply enjoying the views from the garden. It is a place that encourages you to slow down and really enjoy being in the countryside.

What makes this property unique

What makes this property unique is its combination of cosy cottage character and exceptional views. The house sits in a peaceful village setting with an enclosed garden and summer house that looks out towards Froggatt Edge, giving guests a beautiful outlook to enjoy throughout the day.

The layout works perfectly for a relaxing stay, with a welcoming living space featuring a log burner with ambient lighting and a comfortable, homely feel. Walks begin straight from the doorstep, meaning you can explore some of the Peak District’s most loved routes without needing to drive.

We have spent a lot of time here ourselves and designed the cottage to be a place where guests can truly switch off. It is dog friendly, thoughtfully set up and offers something a little different from a typical village cottage, making it a place guests often want to return to.
