The space: We are a family friendly holiday home with plenty of games, books and space to keep your little ones entertained. Should you need a travel cot or highchair please just let us know. We are fully accessible with ramped access, a ground floor bedroom with en-suite and extra wide doorways. A shower chair and grab rail are also available on request.
There are 4 fully equipped bathrooms/en-suites in The Hop Kilns, plus a downstairs wc. The four larger bedrooms can be made up as either king or twin single beds to suit you. Bedroom 5 is a small room attached to bedroom 4, which has a comfortable single day bed for the 9th guest. However, this can also be pulled out and made up into a king if required; although it should be noted that this does leave quite limited space and access in this room. Bedroom 2 has a double sofa bed, and we also have a small double clic-clac sofa bed that can accommodate 1 adult or 2 small children. This can be put in the snug to make a 6th bedroom, or bedroom 1 or 4. With all beds and sofa beds utilised we can accommodate up to 12 guests. We also have 3 travel cots available for babies.
Downstairs you will find a fully equipped utility and kitchen with tea and coffee, and all the necessary condiments you should require for an enjoyable stay. There is also a lounge with seating for 9 and a smart TV. Off here you will find a cosy snug in the round kiln, which houses comfy armchairs and a further smart TV with Wii games console.
The Hop Kilns garden and parking area is a secure space for your dogs (and children!) to safely run around and let off steam!
A few things to note:
This is a working farm with farm noises, smells and dangers - cattle, chickens, children, etc. Whilst we do our best to keep noise to a minimum during your stay, the farm obviously still needs tending to and I'm afraid, as much as we'd sometimes like to, we can't control the noise the cattle and chickens make!
Whilst The Hop Kilns is very much on the farm and has views of the farm, it has its own private gated access and for your safety there is strictly no access to the farmyard and buildings.
Up to 4 well behaved dogs are very welcome but please ensure they are kept under control at all times. Should you have more than 4 dogs please do contact us and we will do our best to accommodate them. Please note there is a charge of £25 per dog.
The BBQ is available on request from April - September, free of charge. Should you wish to borrow it outside of this, there will be a £25 charge.
We have an EV car charger, which you are more than welcome to use. We will bill you for any usage through Airbnb after your stay.
In order to keep our base price down for you, should you wish to have access to the hot tub during your stay, this will incur an extra fee of £100 per stay + £25 per day. This can be paid on arrival (cash) or through Airbnb after your stay.
The Hop Kilns comfortably sleeps 9 in beds, however, we can accommodate up to 3 more guests on sofa beds if they are happy to share. Each extra guest is charged at £75 per guest per night and this is payable through Airbnb when booking.
Should you wish to have the sofa bed(s) made up for 9 guests (or fewer) this will incur an extra charge of £50 per stay per bed.
