All was very good and would return.
Downside was the warning of noise suppression because of aggressive neighbors. Always in the mind and cramping the vacation vibe.
We had a great time. Host was super responsive and easy to work with. The house is beautiful and had plenty of room for our family of 21. Only an hour and 20 from west entrance of Yellowstone and the view of the Tetons was amazing.
We had anxiety from past reviews about the neighbors but we had zero issues from them. Can’t wait to come back!!
Had a great time even though our Yellowstone plans were washed (flooded) out. Went to Bear World & Messa Falls which were recommended by the host. Yard was huge so kids were able to play & run. House was beautiful with plenty of room for family meals & playing cards at night! 3rd floor master suite was a challenge initially for our 64 year old joints but was good exercise after getting used to it.
It is set up just right for a large family. We had 18 grandchildren , age 12 and under and their parents. They loved the yard, the bunk room and play room. As grandparents and parents, we loved that there were places for all of us to eat together, the kitchen was very efficient and well stocked. Thanks for ordering up the beautiful weather, We enjoyed our day trips Yellowstone, floating on rafts on Warm River . It was great. The Wall Fam
It's a great house in a beautiful location. The house has plenty of bedrooms and beds for a large family reunion like ours, which was great. The kitchen was better stocked with dishes and essentials then similar places we've stayed. Some of the furniture is a bit worn and one of the showers wasn't draining well, but otherwise it's a lovely space with plenty of seating, both inside and out.
Apparently the neighbors are pretty touchy, and so some of the rules seemed overly stringent apparently because of past behavior of tenants, but we didn't have any issues. Probably the biggest detraction is that you're about 30 minutes from any real dining options in Rexburg. The flipside is that you're only an hour from Yellowstone and it's quiet at night. If you're there in summer, go float the river!
Location is unbeatable for memorable Family Gatherings
Unique, comfortable, family oriented cabin was the perfect get away!!! Day trips to Island Park, Yellowstone, Jackson, and Grand Teton were a breeze. Rivers to float or fish, mountains to hike, waterfalls to view, all within a short drive. We even saw a moose! There is something for everyone.
Large kitchen is fully stocked with ample supplies to cook for a crowd. Extra fridge and large freezer were a plus. Plenty of room to spread out so we never felt crowded and very remote, so privacy was fabulous. Expansive views make for amazing sunsets. Patio has gas firepit that worked great to relax around while gazing at the most spectacular night sky I've ever seen.
Jim and Michelle were wonderful hosts and easy to contact for any questions.
If you're looking for a great place for a family reunion, this is the spot. My family loved it. We will certainly reserve again.
This beautiful barn vacation home went above and beyond our expectations. While staying at the house, we made two trips to Yellowstone by driving through the west and south entrances, one trip to the Grand Tetons, visited Mesa Falls and the Idaho Potato Museum, and toured Jackson, WY. We also found fun activities in Ashton and nearby areas (tubing, horseback riding, paddle boarding at the lake). The house was in a good location to be able to make day trips both north and south.
The adults spent nights playing games on the lower level while the 9 kids (ages 7-13) hung out in the large game room on the second floor and loft on the third floor. The yard was large enough for whiffle ball games, and the horse shoes were a hit with everyone. The kitchen was well-stocked for our group of 17 and had plenty of refrigerator and freezer space. We cooked dinner and breakfast most nights and mornings and never lacked for any specific utensil or pan. We have a lot of really great memories from our stay and would recommend it to any large group traveling to this area!

Barn house, make sure you do not like to have fun!
The barn house was great for our large group staying in Idaho while riding the sand dunes. The views were amazing. I was disappointed in the small garbage in the kitchen and not a container inside for recycling. We had a group of 25 and kids and several kiddos from ages 5 to 15. The neighbor complained about noise the first night. It was 920 pm. We were by no means wild and crazy. I also received a text Sunday as well about the neighbor complaining. It is pretty unfair to spend a large amount of money on a rental in the country and have to worry about noise complaints. I could see if it was in the middle of the night and people were being obnoxious. This was no means us. I would not recommend this property if you like to have fun, chill by a fire that is provided and spend time outside.
This is a beautiful property with wonderful hosts. They have been very thoughtful in providing amenities to make ones stay very enjoyable. We are grateful to them for sharing with us.
We had a group of 24 people stay at the Good Ground Retreat. There were 8 adults and 16 kids of all ages. We had plenty of space for everyone and more than enough beds for our group, which was awesome. The playroom was a hit with all the kids, and it was nice to have a few toys there for the younger ones to play with.
The kitchen was big enough with an extra fridge and freezer in the pantry that we definitely used. With the picnic tables outside, there was plenty of space for everyone to eat and enjoy the nice weather.
Knowing that the neighbors are so sensitive kind of put us on edge, which was a bummer. But what can you do? Neighbors are grouchy sometimes.
The only drawback of the house was that we had a couple of mice sneak in while we were there. We saw at least two on one of the nights... one in the kitchen and one in one of the upstairs bedrooms. So be sure to keep your food downstairs! It was kind of expected since the property is surrounded by fields and farm land. The owners have traps everywhere, so they are doing their best for it, I'm sure. It didn't affect our enjoyment of the property or our trip.
We also enjoyed the large outdoor space-- we built a fire, played on the swingset, and enjoyed several games of whiffleball in the large field. The kids loved running all around.
This home was the perfect size for our family reunion (12 adults & 16 kids). The home was well stocked in the kitchen and bathroom. Washer & dryer were available for use. We had a few issues come up - the owner was quick to respond. Would stay there again.
My family from 3 different states came together for a celebration. It was a wonderful location close to lots of activities. Rooms were comfortable and there was plenty of room for us! Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and supplies. Thank you so much!
James was very thorough in his instructions. The barn was b-e-a-utiful! This was perfect for our family reunion. We had 23 people stay here and we had plenty of room. There is plenty to do here. We wanted to leave Yellowstone early everyday just so we could spend more time at the “Red Barn.” I highly recommend this place. The views and the stars were fantastic. We would love to come back again some day.
What a beautiful place. Very open and great use of space!
We had 26 people, 13 adults, 13 kids ahes 2-17. We never felt cramped. We love the kids room and the 3rd floor open area with bunks. Even the 2nd floor living space was great spacing. We love cooking and the kitchen had everything we need, even a rice cooker! We're an Asian family that can't go anywhere w/o our rice. Everything was cleaned and stocked to our needs. We never ran out of hot water. Outdoor area was nice with four picnic tables and gas fire table. We used the grill, it was basically new. I can go on!
This house is amazing! We used it for a professional team-building retreat which worked out great. The rooms are very large and the ample areas to sit and have our discussions worked out very well. Definitely something to consider for a professional work retreat.
I took my 4 daughters and their families. 25 total. This was a very wonderful place to spend this vacation with all my family. So beautiful, unique. My family loved it. So much space for everyone. Very clean. Nice views. Close to activity’s we wanted to do. Jim was very easy to work with.
We wanted a place to accommodate the whole family and this was it! Many did their own things and had their own itinerary but meeting up in the evening was great.
Everything about our stay was excellent. The house was perfect for our large group. Spacious and clean. The host was incredible. Super responsive. We will definitely stay here again!
Beautiful setting in the middle of farm land. Very peaceful and quiet. Enjoy the crisp mornings and clean air. House was very large and nice. Can accommodate many. We enjoy the grounds, played games, made s'mores, flew kites, etc. Great place to disengage and just spend time with each other. No distractions. Would stay here again. Enjoyed the fireplace and it was great that wood was available to burn. Cable or satellite TV would be nice to have.
We had a good stay at the property. The property had things for everyone- adults and juniors. The kids loved the play room and bunk beds. The only feedback is correction of the property address and giving directions to future guests on how to reach here as google maps often takes to a wrong address which is a private property

We love being with our family for special occasions - this lodge is our favorite place to be together.
Why they chose this property
Michelle and I were looking for a special place where we could take our family that would be away from the busy lives we lead, where we would be close to natural beauty, and where we could find peace and rejuvenation. We found all these and more here! Now we want to share what we have found with other families. Bring your family here and feel the peace of country living surrounded by world class beauty: The Teton Mountains and the Fall River within eye-sight of the cabin. Plus 7 Major Water Falls, Jackson Hole Wyoming, and Yellowstone National Park all within an hour of your front door. Out here the sky at night is beyond amazing! We see the Milky Way on every clear night. We also love the beauty and country feeling of the farms surrounding our lodge...Love to see the "amber waves of grain" and the potato harvest happening all around us.
What makes this property unique
Having a place where groups can bring up to 30 people means the family can all be together under one roof. Two and a half acres of lawn means that everyone has room to walk and play. Picnic tables, fire-pits, swing-set, slide and more make it feel very family friendly. There are literally dozens of possible picnic venues, hikes, and scenic drives. You'll never run out of opportunities here!
