We very much enjoyed our stay . The place was very clean and comfortable. Location worked very well with any thing we needed being in walking distance even the train station. The goodies left by the host were very enjoyable. The only issue we came across was having to remind my husband who is 6'3" to duck when entering some of the rooms. Of course you have to expect that in an old building.

About the host
Hosted by Penny Lyon
We have lived in and around the UK all our lives but we moved away from our main careers to refurbish properties and provide good quality homes for people. We love hosting (Penny comes from a family of hosters) and so we decided to refurbish the 16th century Nest with the sole purpose of a holiday rental for guests to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
It’s a small historic town set around a main square within the South Downs national park with many independent retailers and eateries. It’s close to the main A3 (Portsmouth to London) road and on the main train line to London. There are plenty of leisure facilities such as hiking, cycling, golf, swimming, all nearby. It’s a very easy walk to the centre of the town (300 metres) with lots of lovely shops, museum and physic garden to browse around. It’s delightful.
What makes this property unique
Its character makes it stand out being 16th century but refurbished to 21st century standards with luxurious furnishings. The property was once part of one of the medieval hall houses of its time. The street scene of Dragon street is very historic.
