Welcome to Big House Colosseo, you are in the central Via Merulana which connects the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore to the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, along the Monti and Esquilino districts. The ideal location to immerse yourself in the charm of the historic center and in the heart of a thousand-year-old history. From here you can easily reach the most iconic attractions of the city, you are a few minutes walk from the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill.
Our holiday house is located in a majestic and elegant building dating back to the early twentieth century, once owned by the famous financial mathematician Francesco Paolo Cantelli, with a large wooden door that opens onto a magnificent entrance with the marble stairs. The spacious and comfortable rooms are decorated with beautiful Roman cement tile floors in Floral Style, which with their vintage charm give that touch of uniqueness to the rooms. Choose your perfect stay and get ready for your unforgettable Roman holidays!

Big House Colosseo was great to stay in, I only took away 1 star because the listing said it had laundry, which it did not and we needed it. Overall great, host was easy to reach and house was clean.

If I could give this home and host 6/5 stars, I would!!! One of the best stays we’ve ever experienced. Benny was extremely communicative, kind, proactive, flexible and accommodating. The apartment was in pristine condition and fully stocked with paper towels, soaps, teas, umbrellas and many other helpful items. The location is excellent - very close to many restaurants and shop options. Although there is no in-unit washer, it is right next to a reasonably priced laundromat. If you enjoy walking, it is an enjoyable and safe walk to some of Rome’s biggest landmarks: Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish steps, etc. We would absolutely stay again. Thank you Benny!

Our stay here was pleasant, Benny the host was very responsive and communicated with us throughout our stay. The apartment itself is conveniently located to some main sightseeing attractions especially the colosseum. It is spacious and clean with enough rooms for our family of 6. Our only issue was that with younger kids. Ours being two and almost one when it came to nighttime their running affected the neighbors downstairs. This ended up being a bit of a sore point in our trip as it was not something we can control with a toddler. Our host was understanding but the downstairs neighbor kept complaining. Our kids ended up getting sick and really fussy in the evenings and things escalated a bit but by this time we were about to leave. All in all the apartment and host itself was great but may not be the best for a family with young kids.
