Lamb Garth our Cottage is located within the traditional Rural Hamlet of Mockerkin, a short drive from some amazing lakes like Loweswater, Crummock & Buttermere and only 5 Miles from the picturesque market town of Cockermouth & only a short 20 Minute drive to the popular tourist destination of Keswick & the rustic coastline’s of Allonby and St Bees, making this an ideal base for Families, Couples and Friends wishing to explore the Western lakes and with fantastic walking and cycling straight from your doorstep and fabulous pubs & restaurants within a short drive serving excellent food & local beers.
Our Cottage is dog friendly and offers the perfect accommodation to enjoy a relaxing break home from home, enjoy cozy evenings infront of the open fire place after a day out exploring the local area.

Lamb Garth is a rustic barn conversion, with exposed wooden beams and an open coal fire, this upside down house offers beautiful views from the lounge window overlooking the scottish hills and beyond, the top floor comprises of a fully fitted kitchen, and a spacious lounge area complete with dining table seating 6. The extra high ceilings with exposed wooden beams creating a Rustic feel and a beautiful space in which to enjoy family/social times in the evenings around the open coal fire playing boards games and catching up with the latest entertainment on Netflix.Downstairs you will find 2 bedrooms, the first room has a double bed, fitted wardrobe and has access to the ensuite, containing a walk in shower and WC. The second room has a triple sleeper, allowing for a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on the top, thus sleeping 3.

The outside private patio area offers a great Space to sit and enjoy Alfresco dining, picnics & drinks, overlooking the village green, this space is perfect to sit & relax outside.

The property offers private off road car parking.

Dogs are most welcome at the charge of £5 per dog per night, Max of 2 dogs per stay.

On arrival you will find a welcome gift & a pint of our own dairy milk fresh from our farm

I’m Claire, I’m born and bred Cumbrian and daughter of a dairy farmer, I have always lived in the village of Mockerkin where we still farm today, I’m Married to Garry who helps me run the holiday Cottages and we have 2 boys Sammy & Lucas who are always on hand to help out with the farm, cottages and animals!
