About this property
Central London oasis: Large 4BR house w garden next to Kennington Park
Tranquil Oasis in Central London's Kennington
Super central, with local park and tube around the corner, yet in a quiet residential street where you can hear the birds sing!
A great oasis to relax and venture out to enjoy London.
Also a great base for digital nomads/ those who work from home or to enjoy the cricket at the Oval.
The space
Beautiful 4BR/3BA Victorian townhouse, offering a peaceful yet unbeatable location. Tucked on a quiet, leafy street, yet just a 2-minute stroll from Kennington Tube station and our lush local park with cafe and pizza oven.
Southbank, Tate, Borough Market, City, Bermondsey and Battersea Power Station are all nearby.
A London town house, so perfect for living, chilling, cooking and relaxing. Kennington park offers the perfect 1k loop - for those morning runs just around the corner.
We offer 4 bedrooms and a separate office/ playroom. There is also a desk in the sitting room and in bedroom 4, so plenty of options for working too!
We will prepare the house for you as if you were coming to stay as our guests. It is our home and we want you to feel welcome: it’s a house that’s loved and lived in, a bit like staying with friends rather than staying in a hotel.
There are three bathrooms: one with bath and shower, one with shower only, one with bath only.
We love it here - Kennington is so central (1 stop to Waterloo, 2 stops to Battersea or Westminster), yet it's leafy and quiet in our street. Our local park complete with cafe and fabulous sourdough pizza is just around the corner. The attractions of London are within easy reach and our house is the perfect place to chill.
Kennington tube station - 2 min walk.
Lots of local busses - 2 min walk.
Parking free on the week-ends, resident visitor permits available on request.
Guest access
This area is very walkable, the tube is very close by and so are 2 bike hire stations. There are also several on-street EV chargers around the corner.
Other things to note
This is our home, and we only let it while we are away, so think of it as if you were to come and stay with friends rather than a hotel. Our previous guests have loved that :)
The neighborhood is quiet and leafy, with a park just beyond the end of the street. It is only 2 mins walk to Kennington tub/metro/subway station, which is just two-three stops to London's West End via the Northern Line. Victoria, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, London Bridge (for Tate Britain and Borough Market) and Waterloo stations are all a short uber/taxi ride or underground trip away. Oval Cricket Ground is a 6 min walk.
There is a Tesco convenience store under 5 mins walk and good restaurants, coffee shops and pubs a short walk away at Kennington Cross, through the lovely Georgian Cleaver Square. There is a great new eating market Mercato Metropolitano and the Elephant Park area about 12 mins away. the Imperial War Museum is walking distance, and trendy eateries in Peckham and Brixton are close.
