About this property
Neysa - Five Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 10
A classic seafront summer house with pool and direct access to the crystalline waters of Porto Heli's enchanting coastline.
In many respects, Neysa is the perfect villa for a perfect summer holiday: with an idyllic beach just a pebble's throw away, glorious sea views to marvel at, a pool set in florid gardens, a bar and grill house just a stroll away, and glamourous Porto Heli nearby, it ticks all the boxes for those looking to spend blissful, carefree moments in a relaxing and tranquil environment.
Inside: accommodation at Neysa is arranged over three floors of a main house and three independently accessed guest rooms in the garden.
The ground floor of the main house is given over to a bright open-plan space divided into two sections. First, looking out via large sliding glass doors over the gardens, the pool and the sea, is the living area. Then, a few steps on from the large, comfy, L-shaped sofa, is the modern, well-equipped kitchen and dining area.
In the corner of this welcoming room, stairs lead up and down to the sleeping quarters. On the first floor is the lovely main bedroom, a spacious double with lofty wood-beamed ceilings, an en-suite shower room, glorious sea views, and access to both a panoramic balcony and a secluded, shady terrace.
The lower ground floor, meanwhile, is home to two more bedrooms, a double and a twin bedroom, each with its own en-suite shower room. This floor also hosts a TV and entertainment room.
The two welcoming garden guestrooms, both doubles with en-suite shower rooms, are located just a few steps from the main house. One has its own sitting area. Please note that there is a third garden guestroom available on request for an additional fee.
Outside: outdoor life at Neysa takes place on the sea-facing side of the house, where the stunning views look across the azure waters of the Argolic Gulf to the hills of the Peloponnese.
Large sliding glass doors open out on two sides from the living area, allowing the interiors to spill outside with the minimum fuss. An expanse of terrace provides ample space for a pair of shady pergolas, one dedicated to sitting, the other to dining.
Where the terrace ends, a swathe of emerald lawn begins, and immersed at the centre of this green oasis is the tempting pool. Wrapping around all this is a wide variety of flourishing plants, flowers, bushes and trees which have all been cleverly arranged to create a perfumed cocoon of colour and well-being.
Towards the side and the back of the house, are a few more shady spots for sitting, while the bedroom on the first floor of the main house has its own panoramic balcony and terrace looking out to sea.
A driveway leads from the house down to the gate from where one may access the secluded pebbly beach and shallow limpid waters of Kyparissia.
Please note that there are a couple of neighbouring properties, but the gardens and pool are not overlooked.
Neysa occupies a glorious seafront position on the coast just north of the upmarket resort of Porto Heli. For many years, the town and its surrounding area (the tip of the easternmost peninsula of the Peloponnese) has been second home to the Athenian aristocracy and Greek shipping magnates, who built sumptuous summer estates there. Today, it attracts the international jet set, from royalty to business tycoons, who come for the sophisticated atmosphere and the sense of hush-hush privacy. Its promenade of seafront bars and restaurants and its shops are a 5-minute drive away from Neysa.
Also known as the Greek Riviera, the peninsula of Porto Heli is lined with gorgeous beaches and lapped by sparkling blue seas. It's a great place for water sports, yachting and island-hopping - the cosmopolitan islands of Spetses and Hydra are just across the water.
Apart from the pebbly beach at the end of the drive, there are plenty of other beaches within an easy drive, including that of Ververonda.
For history lovers, one must-see is the archaeological site of Epidaurus. Its stunning theatre is famed not only for its size and its sensational views, but also for its crystal clear acoustics, and there is much more to see besides.
