The Local Area The Plas Llechylched Estate is situated in peaceful rural countryside on the eastern side of Anglesey. Easy to access, it is just moments from the A55, which is the main road connecting the island to the mainland and beyond. Nearby, the charming village of Bryngwran has a small community pub, called the Tafarn Yr Iowerth. In the opposite direction, you'll find Rhosneigr (4 miles or 11 minutes by car,) a popular resort town where watersports, cafe culture and some fantastic independent shops await. This is also the home of Anglesey Golf Club and Trac Môn, a waterfront racing track with incredible views out across Eryri. Elsewhere on the island, you'll find beautiful beaches, grand country homes, and historic town centres with great food and drink options. Thanks to Anglesey's relatively small size, nothing is too far away.

This is our 10th year staying in one of the beautiful properties and we had a relaxing time. I do think that the furniture needs replacing now as it was far too low and a little hard after a while. The staff were very helpful. Thank you

Lovely stay again at The Gamekeepers Cottage
This was our 4th stay at the Gamekeepers Cottage , love the enclosed garden for the dogs and the entrance of the property is lovely . We do feel that the cottage is getting a little tired and could do with some updating , kitchen cupboards smell a bit musty but having said that we still love the cottage and will continue to return each year . Fabulous holiday

Lovely quiet spot
Lovely quality furnished property more than comfortable for our needs for a week . Great sized rooms and the sun room was a great bonus and in fact in great weather we didn’t use the lounge at all
Hot tub was nice to use and in a nice quiet corner of the garden to be private from others veiw.
We were lucky that no holiday makers were in the cottage next to us as their garden wraps around the gamekeepers , if you have larger or reactive dogs you may need to consider this as the fence is not too tall.
Set in lovely grounds perfect for explorative walks with the dogs in the mornings round the estates fields, lovely to spot a hare or a bird of prey .
Perfect relaxing week !

Gamekeepers
Although quite comfortable and fairly clean I thought some areas of the cottage were definitely tired and needed attention
Cushions on the furniture in the conservatory for instance
The bathroom floor was dirty
The hot tub had debris in it

Accommodation stay review
We have been coming to this property for a number of years and always found it excellent . We believe the new owner is looking to upgrade the kitchen in particular the Aga/cooker . This will benefit the accommodation for future bookings. Housekeeper always very helpful to ensure a good stay .

Set in an isolated, peaceful location with views over farm land to RAF Valley.
Easy to find property in a rural location. Nearest pub is in the neighbouring village of Bryngwran, approximately 1 mile away down a narrow lane. Nearest amenities (shops, pubs restaurants and chemist) are in Rhosneigr 10 minutes drive away. Ample parking on gravel standing, opposite our cottage. I could just manage a 5 or 6 minutes walk around the the community garden and down the drive (torch needed at night) which was handy for walking our dog last thing at night. The cottage was clean and very well equipped. The owners had left us a fantastic goody bag containing a bottle of Wine, tea bags, crisps, shortbread, all were of good quality. By opening the large rear window and the front living room and bedroom windows we were able to keep the cottage cool and airy. We found the cottage very spacious and bright, as specially the bathroom with it's glass skylight. The shower was powerful and easy to use but I found the shower floor was slippery and angled towards the plug and the glass screen, which I constantly slid towards. I recommended a none slip shower mat be installed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable which made for 6 very restful nights sleep. Unfortunately we were not able to get the WiFi to work even after the owner had tried it fix it.

Needs attention to be up standard expected!
The location and setting is really very nice. The driveway to the property feels suitably grand and grounds are well looked after and tidy. We loved the free range chickens and goats were a highlight. On first impression the property was very nice but a heavy smell of dog (maybe to be expected in a dog friendly property) when you walked in.
The property is large and has lots of lovely features. The cleanliness was lacking in many areas and many areas of decor require attention. The small bedroom smelled like a cellar with a damp musty smell which wasn’t too pleasant. Paint bubbling off walls in some places and mould spots on bathroom ceiling. The toilet brush had fallen off unit and left on floor. That should have been corrected during weekly cleaning session. Grout and sealant lines not up to standard. Lots of areas of paintwork is poor with evidence of leaks that have been painted over poorly. Missing a simple bathmat in show which had to be requested. There is no handrail so a slip hazard exists which should be addressed. Some of the utensils were broken and extra wine glasses had to be requested.
The garden furniture paint was largely missing and the hot tub lid and mechanism was in an extremely poor state. I’m not convinced the hot tub was checked at all during our stay. The foliage overhanging the hot tub needed attention as when opening and closing the lid the tub ended up full of petals and leaves.
Overall our stay was enjoyable but let down by these issues. The accomodation was advertised with a luxury slant but I’m afraid there are many shortcomings which prevent it falling into the luxury class.
If these issues are rectified the place would be a gem but to avoid disappointment I think it fair to point these things out as had we known in advance our booking decision may have been different.
