About this property
Stockmans Cottage - Pet Friendly, Todenham
Escape to a country farm retreat at Stockmans Cottage where the farmer would have lived while caring for the animals. You are surrounded by the well-tended farmyard with views over the fields where you can see the sheep grazing in the distance.
Glowing in Cotswold stone, this cottage has an upside-down layout with a large open plan living area on the first floor. Wooden beams give a hint of how this cottage looked in the past and adds some character to your stay. Split between a sitting area and kitchen it is a space you can make your own. Serving meals in the separate dining room important occasions can be celebrated and if you'd prefer to eat out, head to Herd just across the farmyard. Downstairs are two bedrooms, a super king-size and a double where you can drift away into an undisturbed sleep.
Outside there is parking for two cars alongside the cottage, and there is a table and chairs for your morning coffee. A footpath takes you out of the farm, starting walks through the neighbouring countryside filled with idyllic views. Nearby are some Cotswold favourites including Herd which is a fantastic restaurant with stunning views, serving farm to fork breakfast, lunch and dinner including Steak nights on a Friday night. Visit Pit Kitchen where fire cooked feasts are a memorable occasion, Longborough Festival Opera will fill your days with song and National trust Charlecote House is a time capsule of historic family life.

Upstairs, the open plan living area has more than enough space to spread out. With exposed beams above there is a sitting area to one side and a spacious kitchen area. In the kitchen you will find an oven and hob, kettle, microwave, coffee machine and a fridge and separate freezer. The sitting area is made for relaxing, put your feet up and watch TV and gather after dinner to discuss your plans for the next day.

Set just off the kitchen is the dining room, light and bright with windows overlooking the farmyard and surrounding fields. Dine together on produce bought from the farm shop for a real farm to fork experience.
Outside
While Stockmans Cottage doesn't have its own garden, you can eat outside at the table which seats four tucked to one side of the cottage. There is also plenty of space to walk your dog, head into the field across the lane and you will find a secure section of the field has been reserved for your use and there are many walking routes which lead from the farm.
