A wonderful stay in an idyllic location

We had a fantastic stay at Stockmans Cottage. We really appreciated the milk, bread, eggs and biscuits that had been left for us, this was such a nice touch. The cottage is really spacious and has everything you need. It’s an ideal base for visiting the surrounding villages and towns, however, if you just want to chill out, then there is the farm shop and cafe/restaurant on site, along with some lovely walks. We especially loved the fact that Stockmans Cottage is on a working farm - it was great to see and hear the livestock each day.

Post Christmas break

We stayed for 4 nights between Christmas and New Year. Had a great time in the cottage- everything we needed for a relaxing stay! Thank you to the owners for the Christmas tree and mince pies!

Memorable stay

Stockman’s cottage is a lovely property in a beautiful working farm. Given that it was newly entered in the market, there was some teething issues ( which were dealt with promptly- thanks), but aside from that, the stay was special. We loved the village, the farm and the property. It is very close to the Arboretum, which is a must visit. Thanks to the hosts!

The second bedroom was like being in the cleaners cupboard. It was very noisy at nighttime, and there’s no soundproofing from the kitchen above. For me bed and pillows far too soft. He sofa in the lounge is not suitable for the older generation. All told not great and poor value for money.
