About the host
Hosted by Chris
We love hosting The Stables holiday cottage and enjoy meeting visitors from around the globe . We aim to make every visit comfortable and memorable.
Why they chose this property
Saffron Walden is a vibrant small town with a bustling town centre, boasting a mix of independent and retail shops. The colourful twice weekly market has fresh produce and provides a unique and relaxing atmosphere for an enjoyable visit. A visit to the incredible fish stall with their freshly prepared plates , followed by the delights of Angela Reeds shop and finished with the chocolate delights from Hill St chocolatiers is a must !
What makes this property unique
The Stables was built around 1900 as a cart shed and Stables for a large house nearby. The building was lovingly converted to a lovely cottage and home in 2005. Its spaces were cleverly repurposed by a fabulous local architect Peter Klein , creating a spacious and modern interior.
