Host was very responsive and helpful. Pizza oven was excellent although there was not enough dry wood in the wood sheds so we could not use it the second day. The outdoor pavilion was great to sit under in the rain. Lots of mosquitoes -- we used our own Thermacell which worked well. The house was clean and well equiped especially the kitchen. Disappointed the pool was so cold and the yard around the pool was unkept and lots of weeds so not as pretty as in the advertized pictures. Sitting around the outdoor fire place was very relaxing --with the pine trees and birds made lovely scenery.

Very relaxing place, we loved the entire backyard was fenced for our dog. However a lot of mosquitos, if there could be a net surrounding the seating area and maybe some more lights indoor and outdoor. Overall 10/10, small recommendation if there was a jacuzzi it’d be a great asset

This property was fab. We had a lovely stay after a busy few days in Quebec and Montreal. It was a great place to wind down. We enjoyed a swim every morning in the pool. I’m keen on birds so was able to listen and identify on the Merlin app. It was so peaceful. The outside space was great we did bbq on our last night. The independant supermarket in Kemptville was our go to store for provisions. The house was well equipped. No tv apart from the one in the main bedroom. The one in the annex was set up for gaming. Not an issue for us as we preferred to read generally outside in the evenings. Super kitchen equipped with everything one would need for food preparation. Beds very comfy. Plenty of towels left for us. Was able to do a load of laundry before leaving for our flight home to the UK. Ate a real bonus after a long flight. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Everything about this property was great! Comfortable beds (which has not always been our experience with other properties) the entire property is very well equipped, we didn’t need to bring anything. Lots of linens, towels, cleaning supplies, firewood etc. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. Furniture is all clean and comfortable, inside and out. Having several different “living” spaces made it very enjoyable and there was space for everyone. The fenced yard was a real bonus for us having small children and a dog. We would absolutely booked this property again!

The Pines Woodland Retreat was spectacular. The home is very well cared for and loved. We had a wonderful time with our family playing board games, making dinner in the well stocked kitchen, and simply enjoying our time together. It’s a unique experience and would stay again the next time we’re in the area. Thank you to the hosts and owners for providing families a place to unite.

Wonderful getaway! The house had the charm and character of a beautiful old cabin, but with all the modern touches that made it comfortable and convenient. The mature trees surrounding the property created a private, quiet and peaceful setting.We spent a lot of time enjoying the pool, and the fenced yard was ideal for our two small dogs, giving us peace of mind during our stay.We enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
