This property was on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island. Great deck & living areas with well equipped kitchen and linens. Very attentive & informative host.
The place was amazing with a great view of fall colors. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the pans and utensils you would need to cook. There were plenty of linens and the beds were comfortable. Theresa is a great host and very responsive. If we come back to Acadia again we will definitely stay here!
Lovely home in great quiet area. Location was ideal for our needs...close proximity to park and downtown. All the comforts of home available. Definitely would stay again! Host was informative, kind, and easy to be in touch with if needed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
We have stayed several times on the island and this home has been the best place by far. The on line pictures do not do this place justice. We enjoyed hiking on both sides of the island and the area was extremely quiet! Highly recommend
Beautiful home with warm wood and a perfect balance of simplicity and amenities. Responsive host and clear instructions. Convenient to Southwest Harbor and Bass Harbor. Nice setting by marsh on the "quietside"; you do hear some traffic from Route 102. Only extra we wished for was a second bathroom. We highly recommend this property.

It was a beautiful, relaxing and accommodating home. My husband said it was the best part of our trip lol. A great place for our toddler because it wasn’t cluttered with a bunch of knick knacks. The only thing to pay attention to that we didn’t is there is no A/C. It cooled off at night and wasn’t to hot, but they do have fans that helped.
The house is in a beautiful section of Southwest Harbor, it is on a private little dirt road with only 3 houses on it, beautiful marsh on the deck side of property. We were able to be secluded but be 5 minutes from town as well. We all had a great stay.
The property was beautiful, private and well kept, it was well stocked and the location gave us a chance to explore this side of the island. Our dog Comet felt right at home
Great location with a beautiful view. Loved the wall of windows and wrap around patio. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed. We enjoyed our stay.
We explored much of Acadia and always had a comfortable well equipped place to return to. Gladeview was very nice and we had all we needed. We highly recommend this place to families or friends who want the balance of exploration and a quiet place to relax and enjoy the beauty all around.
Property was super clean and inviting. Kitchen was very well stocked. The host had nice thoughtful items like extra propane tank for grill and everything was exactly as described.
We really enjoyed our stay at Theresa’s place. The house is super clean and comfortable and the setting is tranquil. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet side of MDI. Everything we need is nearby without the crowds. Lots of activities as well such as hiking, kayaking and taking a dip at echo lake. The Arcadia national park is a pleasant 20 min drive away. We wish to be back!
Beautiful, peaceful property with excellent communication from host. The property is well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies.
Location is accessible to Wonderland, Ship Harbor and Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Great seafood restaurants within close proximity to house.
Looking forward to returning to this location!
Beautiful home in a quiet and convenient location. It was a short distance from hikes, Bar Harbor and the Park Loop Road. Plenty of restaurants close by. We loved sitting on the large deck and playing games at the large table. The home was very clean and well stocked with what we needed. We loved that we could bring our dogs with us on our Maine trip. We would stay here again on another trip to Maine.
Theresa has a wonderful property with all the amenities that make it a comfortable stay for our family. It now feels like our home away from home when we arrive each summer. It’s clean, thoughtfully appointed, and the windows in the main living space make you feel like you are sitting in the middle of the woods. We love the back deck and spend hours out there looking for birds and enjoying the Maine summer. We can’t wait to return next year.
This was by far the nicest property we have ever stayed at. The host was attentive to any question we had and took care of any of our concerns. We experienced a rare hurricane while at the home and the host continued to check on our welfare. Thank you for making our vacation perfect!
Our stay at this property was great! First of all, Theresa, the owner, was kind and considerate in my dealings with her and her effort to make sure everything was just right for her guests shows throughout this property. This is a beautiful spot to stay at and a wonderful home to experience. Everything could we possibly need to enjoy our stay here was available for our use! Kudos to to the person that Theresa has that prepares this property for the next guests. Every area of this property was so clean that I would be hard pressed to find a speck of dust anywhere! I am amazed at how thorough a job is done in cleaning this property so well in the limited amount of time available between guests! I could go on and on about how wonderful my stay here was, but I will end this by saying this property will be the first place I would consider to stay at should I return to Mt. Desert Island again!
The house was clean, well stocked, organized and very inviting. It had a nice open concept layout. The beds were very comfortable. Location was perfect for visiting and riding bikes within Acadia. Many great places to eat close by. The home was quiet and secluded. The porch was huge. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the red squirrels, the chickadees, and the blue herons in the Glade. We will definitely be back.

Awesome!
Fabulous home. Immaculate and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, including popcorn for the fire pit. Thankyou Theresa for sharing your home with us. You are a joy to work with!
This was our 3rd summer at Gladeview with Theresa. We had another lovely stay and her home was the perfect setup for us. If you like lots of bright, natural light, this is the place for you. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s immaculately clean and has all the things you need to settle in and feel like you’re at home while on vacation. Thanks for continuing to provide us with a beautiful home for our summer trip to MDI.
