About this property

Gladeview: A Craftsman Retreat

A private drive up 'Pork Chop Lane' from the main road paves your way back to this serene retreat in nature. Feast on lobster, crab, and blueberry pie to your hearts content in this sun-drenched, handcrafted cloister nestled in Southwest Harbor overlooking the Bass Harbor everglade.

Upon entrance, the chef's kitchen/dining room/living room area ramble along an open floor plan, all canopied by a sweeping cathedral ceiling. A spectacular wall-of-windows encase atrium doors leading out onto a 10' deep wraparound promenade deck offering an expansive southern exposure vista of untouched wildlife. With pine-crafted woodwork throughout, the main floor includes 2 large bedrooms on juxtaposing sides of the house with queen beds in each. They are separated by a full bath and stairwell to the lower level. The lavatory offers a soaking tub with separate tiled shower.

The lower level offers a family room , an exercise room, a laundry room and an additional set of atrium doors leading out to an additional patio area.

Great place near Acadia
The house was clean, well stocked, organized and very inviting. It had a nice open concept layout. The beds were very comfortable. Location was perfect for visiting and riding bikes within Acadia. Many great places to eat close by. The home was quiet and secluded. The porch was huge. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the red squirrels, the chickadees, and the blue herons in the Glade. We will definitely be back.

This was by far the nicest property we have ever stayed at. The host was attentive to any question we had and took care of any of our concerns. We experienced a rare hurricane while at the home and the host continued to check on our welfare. Thank you for making our vacation perfect!

Gladeview continues to knock it out of the park
This was our 3rd summer at Gladeview with Theresa. We had another lovely stay and her home was the perfect setup for us. If you like lots of bright, natural light, this is the place for you. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s immaculately clean and has all the things you need to settle in and feel like you’re at home while on vacation. Thanks for continuing to provide us with a beautiful home for our summer trip to MDI.
