Non Smoking Family & Pet friendly second floor apartment. Private entrance and parking. Full kitchen, completely furnished including service for four, all towels & linens are provided. There is a full size washer & dryer, refridgerator, gas stove & dishwasher in the unit for our guests convenience. We havea Smart TV with Xumo Spectrum connection. Deck w/ BBQ Grill, outside picnic table, swing, hammock and fire pit. Fire wood is provided. We are located 5 mi. from downtown Bar Harbor, close to main Acadia Park entrance. Wildlife right out your window. Ocean less than half mi. away. Hamilton's Pond right down the street is a favorite fishing location, teaming w/ bass, perch, and other fresh water fish, turtles, beavers, river otters and assorted bird life, such as eagles and peregrine falcons. Enjoy the peace and quiet of Downeast Maine. Well behaved pets welcome.
Hiking, Bicycling, mountain climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding: Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park offer many miles of hiking trails and carriage paths that are all well maintained and provide fantastic opportunities to enjoy the many natural wonders the island has to offer. There are multiple businesses offering bike rentals close by or bring your own bikes, we offer secure areas to store them while you are here.
Kayaking, canoeing, boating: Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park offer vast opportunities to explore the area from both fresh water and salt water venues. There are several places to rent canoes or kayaks or feel free to bring your own, we have plenty of space to securely store them during your stay.
Bird Watching: Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park and the Downeast Maine area are a bird watchers paradise. From eagles, osprey and peregrines to multitudes of water fowl as well as many various visitors on migratory routes the numbers of birds are phenomenal. Whether you chose to simply watch the chickadees, nuthatch and goldfinch that visit our feeders or the eagles that hunt on the pond down the street, there is always a variety of species to marvel at.
