The charming towns of Wolsingham and Stanhope are also nearby – Stanhope even boasts a lovely outdoor swimming pool and a choice of cafés and cosy pubs.

Durham City is just a 10-minute drive away, or you can hop on the local bus service to enjoy the stunning Cathedral, Castle, riverside walks and vibrant cultural scene without the need for a car.
