Firstly had to struggle up 4 flights of steep stairs with two eighty year old pensioners which we was not warned about beforehand. Then if you want to sleep at night I suggest getting some good earplugs, you can hear everything through the old wooden window frames which also rattled when the wind blew, from cars to people talking basically any noise from outside. It doesn't help there is a lively pub right across the road. Other than that the flat was ok and had all the things we needed for our stay.
This was the perfect place to start our day each day. It is in easy walking distance to the clock tower, the cathedral, verulamium park and high street. And it was an easy walk to the train station when we wanted to explore London as well. Any essentials as far as supplies we needed were right down London Road at the Co-op.
