Indoor Description
Buttercup Cottage kitchen is fully equipped for guests to cook their own meals with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave. Other amenities include a kettle, coffee maker, toaster, and all the cooking basics - pots and pans, oil, salt and pepper, plus dishes and cutlery including bowls, plates, cups, wine glasses, and baking sheets.
A Smart TV is provided in the living area as well as one in the bedroom. Wifi is available throughout. A hair dryer is provided for your convenience.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Buttercup Cottage has underfloor oil-fired heating throughout. There is also a wood-burning stove in the living area, logs are included at no extra cost.
Towels and bed linen, duvets and blankets provided for your convenience. Please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you away from the property.
Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets/powder will be present in the property, and one to two toilet rolls will be provided.
Outdoor Description
Directly outside is a gravelled patio/courtyard area, with chairs for enjoying the view, and fire pit. The property is approached via a gravelled path with steps up to the door. This patio/garden area is not enclosed.
The owner lives on the farm next door, and there is one other holiday property nearby (also sleeps 2), they each have their own private entrances, outside areas.
The village pub is just over a mile away in Luxborough, The Royal Oak Inn.
Parking
Free off-road parking is available just opposite the garden area of Buttercup Cottage.

Dogs are welcome to come and stay for no extra charge.

The property is all on one level once inside, but is accessed via gravel path and steps (without hand rail) up to the front door, so may or may not be suitable for someone with limited mobility.

Luxborough enjoys a peaceful and beautiful setting in rural West Somerset, within Exmoor National Park. In years gone by people came to the area to mine iron ore and it was sent via the West Somerset Mineral Railway to Watchet on the coast. In the 19th century the school was reported to have 200 pupils from the village and the iron mines in the Brendon Hills!
Roadwater is situated 4 miles to the east and the popular village of Dunster is 5 miles to the north. Roadwater has a local shop, post office, village hall and an Inn and is situated approximately 4 miles from Williton, which has a larger range of shops providing for day to day needs.
Bridleways and footpaths crisscross near and through Luxborough, including the famous Coleridge Way which passes through the village.
The Royal Oak Inn is the village pub in Luxborough, serving drinks and good food, it's just over a mile away.
Wheddon Cross (approx 6 miles) has a mini-supermarket with Post Office facilities and a petrol station with good opening times. Roadwater is also has a local shop and pub which serves food. Dunster is also approx 4 miles, but in the other direction, this wonderful medieval village is really worth a visit, it has lots of shops, restaurants, tea rooms and a village shop.
Minehead is approx 7 miles away, located on the coastline. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrisons are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have long opening hours), plus a range of other shops throughout the town.
