The Old Shop prioritises the open-plan kitchen-living area, with beautiful, exposed roof beams and high ceilings. The fully equipped kitchen has all the utensils and kitchenware you could need for your holiday, including home essentials such as a microwave, oven and grill. The farmhouse style dining table is perfect for mealtimes with family.
A welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, locally sourced milk, and biscuits is provided for your enjoyment.
The kitchen blends seamlessly into the living area, where you can settle down in front of the TV and electric log-effect fire for a sociable and relaxed evening.
To the right of the living area, you’ll find two bedrooms. The first hosts a king-size bed with under bed ottoman storage. Enjoy the natural light benefitted from the glass French doors and windows on the south-facing wall. The second bedroom can be arranged to your preference – choose between a super king bed or two singles to be set up for your arrival.
Between these two bedrooms is the family bathroom, with Purbeck stone tiling and bath with overhead shower. We provide luxury Beaumont & Brown towel sets, along with complimentary shampoo, body wash and hand soap to use throughout your stay.
To the left of the living area, upon entering the property, you’ll find the third bedroom. Featuring a set of bunk beds, this room is best suited for children. Adjacent to the bedroom is an additional toilet.
The main door to the cottage opens into the sunny shared gravel courtyard, with outdoor seating to relax in the fresh air.
Our Durdle Door Holiday Cottage guests receive exclusive access to the Games Barn, complete with pool table, table tennis table and communal TV area. Guests also have access to free to use Wi-Fi.
You’ll also receive access to the shared heated swimming pool (open April – September), with pool towels provided for your stay; sit back on the sun loungers and have a lazy day by the pool.
In the West Courtyard sits the laundry room, with a washing machine and tumble drier, clothes airer, iron and ironing board for your use. You will also find additional freezer space.
A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are welcome and well provided for; you will find food and water bowls, a towel and poo bags for your dogs.
Allocated parking for two cars is included in the parking area adjacent to the West Courtyard. Complimentary parking across the Lulworth Estate is included in your stay upon receipt of your car registration numbers, allowing you unlimited access to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle Park. For day trips further afield, there is a bus stop 200m from the Cottage with links to Poole, Weymouth and Swanage.

Within walking distance at the nearby Durdle Door Holiday Park, you will find many facilities which you are welcome to make use of, including a children’s Woodland Adventure Play Park, the wonderful Man O’War Bar & Restaurant, and the convenient Durdle Door Stores. Please note that these facilities are only available during the Holiday Park’s open season, March – January.
