A beautifully furnished, stone cottage in Swanage with garden and parking.
Located in a quiet residential cul-de-sac, this stunning detached house, built in 2015 is finished to a high specification. The Gatehouse is just a ten minute walk to Swanage town centre and award winning beaches and has easy access off road parking for 3 cars.
It has been furnished to a high standard with comfort in mind, making it a great place to relax. Children are well catered for with access to a travel cot, stair- gate, high-chair, toys and games.
Downstairs is open plan with a dining area and lounge looking on to the garden. French doors from the living room open up onto the patio and garden.
The stairway leading up from the living room, branches off to two separate landings. The first has a good size double bedroom and a separate full suite bathroom. The second contains the twin bedroom, large king size bedroom and separate shower room.

Recently we have added a lovely wooden garden cabin, a quiet space to work from or additional play space for the children to watch a movie. To the side of the cabin room is a large shed for storage.
The spacious garden patio includes a built in BBQ and relaxing garden furniture.

The host was very accommodating and no request was too much trouble. The property was in excellent condition and all facilities and contents as described. The property was in a great location with a 15 min walk to the beach or town centre. Would recommend the property and host to anyone planning a trip to Swanage.

Great house with a great location to enjoy all Swanage has to offer. Easy walk to pubs, restaurants, shopping and beach. Nice extra to have designated parking. House is well appointed with a beautiful garden. We loved our stay!
A great location and spacious house - ideal for 4 adults and a one-year old. The garden looked lovely, but it was October-November so we didn't use it. Great to have private parking by the house.Very warm; a good-sized, well-stocked kitchen!
The cottage is lovely as is the garden, it’s well equipped and was very comfortable for five adults and a baby. The location is quiet yet only 10-15min walk into Swanage centre with the added advantage of parking. Sally is very responsive if you have any questions. We loved our stay, wish it had been longer!
Fantastic property just a 15 minute walk to town & beach. We had a wonderful stay with our daughter & grand daughter, on the beach every day & back in the beautiful garden later. I could move in tomorrow, it was perfect.

Lovely weeks stay at The Gatehouse. It’s a very comfortable, well equipped property with little extra touches like toys/games in the children’s room and use of the beach equipment which was a great help! The garden was enjoyable to relax in after days of exploring the Jurassic Coast. Would recommend!
A very comfortable house, exactly as described - well-furnished & maintained; in a quiet location but nearby the town & all its services. The owner was helpful & responsive.
Excellent stay in this modern comfortable property
The good weather enabled us to enjoy the lovely spacious garden. The house was very well equipped, we had everything we needed. It was also very handy to have use of an outdoor socket to charge our car from. All in all a great stay we would definite return.

The property was very charming and clean. I personally could not do the 15 minute walks to the local shops etc due to mobility issues so had to use the car all the time. Swanage is a lovely place to stay with some scenic views and friendly people.
Clean, modern, well equipped and centrally located the house had all the home comforts. Garden office / games room was a hit with the teens whilst the garden seating area and barbecue was great for a family gathering. 5 stars all the way!
The Gatehouse is a lovely house, with a great layout for families or friends sharing. It is immaculately presented, very comfortable, very easy to cater for stay-in evenings, everything works excellently. An easy walk into Swanage town and very easy drives to the fantastic South West Coastal path and the villages en route.
We had a very pleasant New Year stay here - we highly recommend this property for a visit to Swanage and Purbeck.

I have been enjoying holidays in Bournemouth and Swanage for over 20 years. After bringing our own children down here and seeing how much they love it we recently decided to buy a holiday home here.
We work in London but living in East Surrey means we can get down to here in a little over 2 hours!
The beautiful scenery, access to a multitude of nature walks and so many beautiful beaches makes for a relaxing holiday every time we visit.
Why they chose this property
We spotted The Gatehouse being built on a long weekend trip. We drove past and got chatting with the builder and instantly fell in love with the property.
What makes this property unique
The house being in Purbeck stone and in keeping with the 150 year old Manor House coupled with the benefits of a new-build home, well insulated, double glazed and modern appliances makes the house truly unique.
The open plan living space, onto a large secure garden makes the house perfect for a family. The unique high ceiling features in the bedrooms all made the house very appealing to us.
