About this property

4 Bed in Southwold (oc-hskimm)

With its stylish interior, designer garden and tranquil views, this stunning holiday cottage makes a delightful base for families and groups of friends looking to explore Southwold and the Suffolk coast. Located in the north of the town with views over Buss Creek, Southwold Pier and beach with its colourful beach huts is just 500 metres away, while the high street with its independent shops, pubs and restaurants and iconic lighthouse is just a short walk away. Part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the entire region is much loved by walkers and birdwatchers with nearby reserves including RSPB Minsmere (11 miles). Hop on the ferry (or drive 8 miles) to the quaint town of Walberswick, renowned for its crabbing culture, sandy beach and nature reserve, or visit the artistic town of Aldeburgh (18 miles).

This four bedroom, four bathroom contemporary cottage has been extended and renovated, and offers beautiful styling and fantastic attention to detail throughout. A garden path leads to the front door on the side of the property and into an entrance hall with a utility cupboard and door to the downstairs bedroom. The main living space is open plan, featuring a combined lounge, kitchen and diner with bi-fold doors leading out to the garden. This is a light and spacious room with a fitted kitchen running along the outer wall, a cosy living space with a selection of seating arranged around the TV and wood burner, and a large dining table. The ground-floor bedroom with zip link twin/king bed has views over the creek with a shower room next door. There are three spacious bedrooms on the first floor, each with an en-suite. The master has a king-size bed, an en-suite shower room and views over Buss Creek. There’s another king-size room with an en-suite shower room and garden views, and a twin bedroom with a roll-top bath in the en-suite and views over the creek.

Outside, there’s a delightful coastal garden. Bi-fold doors lead from the house to a patio area with an outdoor table and chairs, then three steps lead up to the main garden where shrubs and small trees border the path to the open-sided garden room, which features a covered patio table.
