About this property

3 Bed in Southwold (oc-hsmugg)

Located in the centre of Southwold, with its beautiful sandy beach, this charming cottage is perfect for families or friends looking for a traditional seaside holiday enjoying the pretty Suffolk coast. The cottage is ideally placed to explore this delightful town on foot, with the beach, lighthouse, pier and high street all less than 0.5 miles.

A charming two-storey property that was originally a fisherman's cottage and now presents as a spacious haven by the sea. The tones are soothing, and its elegant styling blends the traditional character of exposed wooden ceiling beams with contemporary comfort. Downstairs is a cosy living room with sofas to snuggle up next to the large double glazed door multi fuel burner and watch TV. There are oak floors in the lounge and the kitchen, the latter having all you need to rustle up some family favourites. Dine together while looking out the French doors to the pretty paved garden. There is a bathroom with a separate wet room on the ground floor. The downstairs also has a double bedroom. Cottage-style stairs lead upstairs to a double and a twin bedroom. Outside, you can enjoy an enclosed garden with garden furniture and a BBQ, making this a perfect spot for al fresco dining on fine evenings.

Southwold is a great choice for holidaying on the beach. Nearby The Denes Beach and Walberswick Beach are less than a mile away and are ideal for either buckets and spades or water sports enthusiasts. Head down the coast to Dunwich (9 miles) and discover why this is known as the Lost City of England. There is forest, beach and heath to explore. Alternatively, head inland to Beccles (13 miles), walk around this pretty market town, and take a boat trip on the river at the edge of the Broads.
