For family-friendly activities, Whinlatter Forest Park provides walking and cycling routes through beautiful woodland. Nearby towns offer additional exploration opportunities, including Cockermouth (5.5 miles), the coastal towns of Whitehaven (9 miles), Maryport (13miles) Allonby (15 miles) as well as St Bees (14 miles) the start of the Coast to Coast walk and the bustling hub of Keswick (18 miles), renowned as the ‘adventure capital of the Lakes’ for its range of outdoor gear shops and experiences.

Upstairs, the cottage offers two beautifully appointed bedrooms. The master bedroom features a double bed and is a peaceful haven for rest and relaxation. The second bedroom, a twin room, features two single beds, ideal for children or additional guests. Also on the upper floor is a well-maintained bathroom, complete with a bath, basin and heated towel rail, perfect for a relaxing soak in the evening.


Outside to the front, the cottage offers a large lawned area with outdoor seating and a BBQ. This is an ideal spot to enjoy a morning cup of tea or an evening glass of wine while taking in the peaceful village atmosphere and enjoying the picturesque surroundings. You have private off-road parking right outside the front door, making it ideal to park up and leave your car to enjoy this beautiful part of Cumbria on foot.
