About this property

1 Bed in Luddesdown (oc-d32118)

Enjoy a stay in this recently renovated, one-bedroom, cottage that has been carefully created to offer stylish accommodation in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by the vineyard's of the 500-acre Silverhand Estate, located in the rolling Kent Downs, a footpath beckons in every direction, so lace up your hiking boots and enjoy the stunning scenery. Local walking destinations include the lost village of Dode (2.5 miles), famously wiped out by the Black Death during the 14th century, or the National Trust’s Cobham Wood and Mausoleum (4 miles), where there are 190 acres to explore. Jump in the car and enjoy a day out to historic Rochester (6.5 miles), with its famous castle and cathedral, plus an array of independent shops and eateries. If you fancy something more challenging, enjoy a range of water sports at St Andrew’s Lakes (5 miles). Alternatively stay local and within 100 metres of the property enjoy a wine tour and a drink at the cellar door of the vineyard or enjoy a meal in the local country pub.

Step inside this bijou hideaway to find beautifully thought-out accommodation with everything you will require for your retreat for two. At the heart of the cottage is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can kick back and relax after an active day. Settle back in on the comfortable sofa and enjoy a good film on the Smart TV. Read your books, make plans or take turns at whipping up the next delicious meal over in the contemporary kitchen. This chic area has been designed to offer you ample food storage and preparation space as well as all the equipment you will need to assist you in your self-catering endeavours. Pull stools up to the breakfast bar to enjoy your romantic meals for two or flick through the local guide and discover many good local restaurants. When day turns to night and you are ready to retire, climb the carpeted stairs to the mezzanine level. Here you will find a sumptuous king-size bed and a skylight window through which you can gaze up at the stars. Awake to wonderful, rural views and refresh yourselves in your immaculate, en-suite shower room.

Pull a bottle of chilled wine from the fridge and carry it out to the seating area beside the cottage on summer evenings. Listen out for the owls as the sun sets. There is private parking for one car at this retreat.
