About this property
7 Bed in Tincleton (oc-i32533)
This charming, historic farmhouse sits in the heart of the Dorset countryside, surrounded by 700 acres of rolling fields and within easy reach of the stunning Jurassic Coast. Perfect for large groups or families, the house sleeps up to 14 guests across seven bedrooms and offers total peace and privacy with an enclosed garden and manicured lawns. There’s a wonderful network of footpaths right across the road, including a scenic 2-mile stroll to the village of Puddletown, where you’ll find a welcoming pub and local shop. Marvel at the world-famous natural wonders of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door (11 miles). If you fancy a beach day, head to Ringstead Bay (9.5 miles), Weymouth (13 miles) or the boating haven of Poole Harbour (18 miles). Set in Thomas Hardy country, this delightful home promises a proper countryside escape with adventure on your doorstep.
Arriving through private gates, you’ll be wowed by this large country home with its smart brick exterior and tidy sash windows. Inside, the interiors are full of character and colour, with antique furniture, patterned curtains and tasteful artwork. From the spacious hallway, the main living room, with a TV and crackling wood burner, sits to the left. Opposite, the elegant dining room features a striking Charles II table for memorable family meals. At the rear is a well-equipped kitchen and breakfast room with access to a handy utility space, along with a second living room that doubles as a cosy library. This opens directly onto the sunny south-facing garden and patio. Upstairs, the first floor offers five bedrooms (two king-size, two twin and one single) and two bathrooms. Climb to the top floor to discover two more bedrooms – one with a king-size bed, the other with a double and an additional single.
Outside, there are around 5 acres of lawned garden to roam, complete with outdoor seating and a BBQ area for fresh-air parties with loved ones. You’ll have oodles of parking space for seven or more vehicles.
