Brecon (12.5 miles) itself is a bustling market town for a day out, with independent shops, an imposing cathedral and an annual jazz festival for which people travel far and wide. For waterside activities, try canal walks or paddleboarding at Talybont-on-Usk (19 miles).


Step into the spacious hallway of this calming countryside home that's perfect for families. To your left, the games room is ready for friendly competition before continuing to the sky-blue kitchen where you can rustle up something heart for rumbling tummies. Choose from the six-seater table in the kitchen for relaxed dining or enjoy a more formal affair in the dining room, seating 10 guests. A handy utility space also sits on this floor. Further down the hall, you'll find the cosy living room on the right, where you can put your feet up in front of the TV and catch up on the day's events. The property also boasts a games room with 65" TV and PlayStation. Upstairs there are three generous bedrooms, one super-king zip-and-link, one super-king zip-and-link and large bunk beds and one super-king zip-and-link with a sofa bed for one adult or two children and TVs, so everyone sleeps in style. Outside, the private enclosed garden is pretty and has a table and chairs for alfresco dining or evening drinks while you listen to the gentle splashes of the river nearby.
