About this property

2 Bed in Whitstable (oc-o32772)

An attractive getaway, perfect for couples or families in the colourful seaside town of Whitstable in Kent, this inviting cottage has been beautifully finished. Stylish, comfortable and with a delightful, enclosed garden, it has two bedrooms and sleeps up to four guests. Just 500 metres from the shingle beach, where you can swim, paddleboard and stroll along to independent stalls, galleries and shops. Whitstable is also famed for its annual oyster festival, and the cottage is within easy reach of the many eateries on offer in the town, many of which are renowned for their seafood. Keen walkers and cyclists can follow the Whitstable Coastal Trail or the Saxon Shore Way during their stay, and for those looking to venture further afield, Canterbury, just 7 miles away and offers a great day out with its famous cathedral, Marlow Theatre and boutique shopping, ensuring something for everyone.

Step in from the street to enter the cosy and welcoming lounge offering a Mid-Century Modern vibe with an ornamental fire place and comfortable seating. Curl up with a good book or pick up the remote control and find a good film for everyone to enjoy on the Smart TV. Amble on through to the dining room and adjoining kitchen at the rear of the cottage, where you will find catering is easy thanks to the galley-style kitchen space. Whip up delicious meals with the tasty local produce you have bought in town, then dine together at the table by the French door that leads to the garden. Completing the ground floor is a stylish family bathroom with a shower over the bath, which is accessed from the kitchen. When you’re ready to turn in for the night, make your way upstairs, where there is a choice of two charming double bedrooms on the first floor.

Head outside into the pretty garden to savour the sunshine whenever the weather’s fine. Here you will find a patio table and chairs for enjoying a relaxing breakfast and a decked area with a choice of reclining or deck chairs and a charcoal BBQ for long summer days and outside entertaining. Guests at this cottage benefit from unrestricted roadside parking on the opposite side of the street, subject to availability.
