Rustle up tasty meals in the kitchen area to enjoy around the dining table or at the breakfast bar. Woolacombe undoubtedly has one of North Devon’s finest beaches. With mile upon mile of soft, golden sand, it’s easy to escape the crowds, whatever the season. Its consistent, rolling waves make it a surfing hotspot, and you’ll find many companies offering lessons. Outdoor enthusiasts can also try horse riding, paddleboarding, and even hang gliding from the village. As well as the main beach, there are also several smaller stretches of sand in the area. The picturesque cove of Barricane Beach (0.5 miles) is a must for photographers, with its interesting rock formations and turquoise waters. Be sure to sample the delicious curry, too, which the nearby cafe serves to beachgoers on summer evenings.
