About this property
1 Bed in Tebay (oc-m29886)
Tebay is a quaint village located in the upper Lune Valley, giving perfect access to both the stunning Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The village itself features notable historic sites, including the earthwork remains of the motte and bailey castle, Castle Howe. The local pub, only 200 metres away offers locally sourced food and drink whilst Tebay Services at Junction 36 (4 miles) is renowned for its quality food at the bustling cafe. The services offer a plethora of farm shop goodies from local gelato to fine wines and spirits. The nearby village of Orton is well worth a visit 3 miles away with its famous chocolate shop that offers handcrafted delights. For walkers, Orton Scar and the Howgills are an exciting prospect for an afternoon excursion, and it is easy to see why this beautiful landscape was so celebrated by renowned fell walker and author Alfred Wainwright. The pretty towns of Appleby, Kendal, Sedbergh and Penrith are all within touring distance with their excellent range of attractions, leisure and shopping facilities.
With exposed brick and traditional beam features, you will feel instantly transported into a quintessential country cottage when you step inside. Evenings can be enjoyed cosied up by the wood burner whilst watching your favourite films on the Smart TV. The kitchen makes for a social experience – with its open-plan layout, conversations can flow whilst cooking a romantic meal for two. Upstairs, you can find the king-size bedroom, with a built-in TV – breakfast in bed never felt better. The adjoining bathroom is a cosy delight with neutral spa-like tones. Enjoy a refreshing shower before a day on the fells, or wind down with bubbles in the tub.
To the rear of the property, you can find an enclosed courtyard, with its very own hot tub perfect for relaxing after a full day of exploring.
