A welcoming, stone retreat in coastal Dorset, this inviting holiday home is set on a farm near Burton Bradstock and the magnificent Jurassic Coast. Sleeping six guests, it encompasses three bedrooms, including one at ground-floor level with an accessible en-suite shower room. It also benefits from an enclosed garden and access to a shared games room. The cottage is just 2 miles from picturesque Hive Beach and 3 miles from the sandy beach at West Bay, famous for its golden cliffs. Keen walkers might also wish to head down to the sea to follow a stretch of the South West Coast Path. Inland, the National Trust’s Lambert’s and Coney’s Castles, 13 miles away, are great for scenic country walks. Venture into bustling Bridport, 4 miles away, to shop and dine out. Lyme Regis, 13.5 miles from your base, is also worth visiting, especially for fossil hunting.


Approach this chocolate-box, wisteria-clad cottage, which has a ramp, and enter to find yourselves in a generous hallway. From here, there is easy access to the twin bedroom and its accessible en-suite wet room. Also downstairs is the airy, open-plan lounge/diner, with the kitchen adjacent. Here, you will find everything you need to help you cater for your party with your own ingredients. Serve up at the table with the french doors to the garden open to bring in a summer breeze. The lounge/diner has a characterful, stone fireplace fitted with a wood burner for you to stoke up on winter nights. Unwind in here on the soft seating in front of a good film on the Smart TV. There is also a handy, separate WC downstairs. The ground floor of the property benefits from having no steps, including from the lounge/diner into the garden. Two king-size bedrooms, with sloping, beamed ceilings, can be found on the top floor of the cottage, together with the family bathroom. Here, you will have the choice between a bath to relax in and a shower for a refreshing rinse.


Step down from the dining area to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air out on the patio. Light the BBQ and grill the Dorset produce you have sourced, before dining together at the picnic table. Watch the children play on the lawn or take them to the larger, shared area. Challenge each other to table tennis or snooker in the games room. There is private parking for two cars with this cottage.
