About this property
2 Bed in Thirsk (oc-l30902)
Discover North Yorkshire from this delightful cottage in the market town of Thirsk. Sleeping just three people, the inviting retreat, which has an enclosed garden, is perfect for couples or small families, especially if they have a canine companion. It is well placed for shops, eateries and the World of James Herriot Museum, as well as for the dramatic landscapes of the North York Moors, 6.5 miles away.
Step inside to find yourselves in the kitchen where you can brew strong Yorkshire tea to enjoy with a slice of fresh parkin from a bakery in town. This airy, well-designed space has also been arranged to include everything you will need to help you whip up tasty meals on those occasions you choose not to dine out. The generous, adjoining lounge/diner is the perfect place to dine at the cosy table by the window, then wander over to the colourful seating to unwind. Choose a board game, find your favourite show on the Smart TV or simply chat and enjoy the quality time together. At the end of each exciting day, climb the stairs to the first floor to lay your head on your pillow in one of the inviting bedrooms. These include a lovely double and a single, each with a charming sloping ceiling. The family bathroom is also at this level. Carry your first cup of tea of the day out into the garden to the front of the cottage on summer mornings. There is also a courtyard to the side of the house. The property benefits from on-street parking nearby using a disc provided in property (2hr parking Mon-Sat 8am-6pm, no restrictions at other times) and a main local pay & display car park just 300m away.
Venture 8 miles to see the famous chalk Kilburn White Horse in the North York Moors. Head 11.5 miles to wander the beautiful remains of Cistercian Rievaulx Abbey.
