About this property

2 Bed in Southwold (oc-tlo)

Enjoy a stay at the heart of Southwold – this chic two-bedroomed apartment is perfect getaway for families or couples who want to be close to all the town’s holiday hot spots. Big sash windows let in floods of natural light into the spacious open-plan living area.

Immerse yourself in Southwold life with a stay at this town centre apartment and you’ll be spoilt for choice in all things food, drink and retail-related. It’s located on the high street, above a bakery, with a staircase leading up to the front door – step inside and you’ll find a light and airy open-plan living room with discrete kitchen, dining and lounge areas. The kitchen has all the self-catering essentials but there are enough delicatessens, cafes and eateries on the doorstep to make your stay completely chore-free; when you want to eat at home, the dining suite is positioned to give you a great view of the street below. Afterwards, stretch out on the sofas for a laid-back movie night; there’s a wood burner-effect electric fire to make things extra cosy. And when it’s time to retire, four steps lead down to two nautical-themed bedrooms at the peaceful rear of the property, one with a king-sized bed and the other with twins. A smart shower room completes the convenience for all.

Southwold is a town of many parts, all of them within easy reach of this centrally located apartment. Whether your taste is for boutique shopping, seafood or fine art, you’ll find plenty to please on the high street, alongside all the grocery essentials of home. Less than 200 metres from your doorstep is a long sandy beach with a pier full of family-friendly amusements and eateries at one end and, at the other, the entrance to the working harbour. Visit the harbour to see leisure yachts and fishing boats come and go; you can buy the latter’s freshly landed catch and take a ride on the historic foot ferry to the village of Walberswick, on the opposite side of the River Blyth. Southwold Common offers an alternative route back to town – it’s just far enough to work up a thirst for a taste of the local brewery’s finest!
