The entire property is private and we thoroughly enjoyed outback by the pool relaxing and watching for wildlife . Communication was excellent with the host. Located about 15 minutes from downtown La Fortuna, this beautiful two-bedroom, two-bath home is tucked away within a stunning private garden, creating a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The property feels very secure, with a private gate, security cameras all around the exterior of the house, and an alarm system providing added peace of mind, although the area itself felt safe throughout our stay.The pool, approximately four feet deep, was the perfect place to cool off after a day of exploring the many adventures La Fortuna has to offer. The home was exceptionally clean, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with all the comforts of home. We especially appreciated the welcoming touches, including a bottle of wine and snacks waiting for us upon arrival. The robes in the bedrooms were also a great addition!Each morning and evening, we enjoyed the sounds of nature from the surrounding birds and geckos. A few spiders occasionally made an appearance indoors, but that’s to be expected in a tropical setting.The beds were comfortable, and the home provided everything we needed for a relaxing stay. While there is a grocery store and pizza shop within walking distance, having a rental car is highly recommended to fully enjoy the area and its attractions.MVCostaRicaTravel provided excellent recommendations for local adventures. Highlights of our trip included the Arenal ATV Tour around the volcano and the Safari Float on the Peñas Blancas River—both memorable experience.
