Shambala Beach House - Where Mountains Meet the Sea
Shambala Beach House is located on the rustic and rural northwest coast of Cyprus. This area is known for its spectacular sunsets and scenery and, as yet, is untouched by mass tourism. Where the pine covered mountains of the Paphos forest meet the sea in the ancient fishing village of Pomos. Shambala is just doorsteps from the sea. This is a place for dreamers and driftwood collectors, beach+combers, writers and artists seeking inspiration and solo travellers or couples seeking solitude without isolation. There are no white sands and sunbeds on this beach, although there are some sandy beaches in the village. Sun kissed, sea washed pebbles line our little cove, so water shoes are advisable and it may not be suitable for those with limited physical ability due to the rough steps made of sea stones and the uneven surfaces. Shambala is not a luxury property, it is a simple house, but fully equipped and comfortable. The views from the bedroom over the sea are spectacular and the sunsets are some of the best on the island. In the summer there are several taverns in the village and a beach bar with cabanas. In the quiet season there are a couple of taverns who stay open and a grocery store. Shambala is approximately 90 minutes from Paphos airport and 25 minutes from the old cobbled town of Polis.
