This beautiful, relaxing lake front cottage is located on a deep-water cove on popular Ft. Loudon Lake (Tennessee River), close to Knoxville and the Great Smoky Mountains. Nestled in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, Driftwood Cottage features 2 spacious master bedrooms upstairs, with king beds and private bathrooms in each. Downstairs, you will find two comfy couches, a huge flat screen TV, and two twin beds. The couch also converts into a queen bed. Perfect place to let the kids hang out as you enjoy some peace and quiet upstairs. All furnishings in this cottage are new! You will absolutely love sitting on the private, screened back porch overlooking tree-covered lot and lake as you sip your morning coffee. Also, don’t forget to cuddle up with your honey on the couch in front of the wood-burning fireplace. Bring your boat, jet skis, and fishing poles and enjoy the spacious private dock, just a short, gently-sloping walk from the house down to the lake. Amenities include: gas grill, rafts, life jackets, WiFi, 3 smart TVs, cable, washer/dryer and more. Our time at Driftwood Lodge was awesome. The property is located in a great location on the lake and it has a wonderful dock for tying a boat off to the house was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Excellent property.

Wonderful home!

Our family loved our stay here. The house was spacious, super clean, and well stocked. We went into Knoxville a couple of days, and it was an easy drive in. We loved our time on the lake! Would absolutely stay here again.

Gorgeous location

This place was IDEAL for our vacation. Not only a gorgeous location, but the house had everything we needed from cooking supplies to life vests. There were also kayaks to save us from having to rent any for the week. Loved it!

Wonderful Lakefront Home

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the lakefront home on Fort Loudon Lake. While it was somewhat remote, out on an peninsula close to Friendsville, we were still able to get to restaurants, Historic Fort Loudon, and Maryville/Townsend/Lenoir City for antiquing. The home was as advertised and was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved the place. Very nice neighborhood on the water.

Property was just as represented and was clean and well furnished. Enjoying kayaking as well. Communication with the host was excellent and check in and check out was flawless. Although not a newer property- it was well maintained. A little remote, but easy to find and the drive was enjoyable and the location was central to our exploration of the area. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Total relaxation in beautiful setting

Absolutely wonderful week! House is well furnished,stocked and linens are great quality. There was nothing missing amenity wise. Best kitchen provisions I’ve encountered in rentals with nice pots,pans and all utensils needed! Extremely clean and well kept! Truly enjoyed the kayaks and the view of the lake was gorgeous. Very peaceful neighborhood and made for a really relaxing week. Very welcoming house and host communicates extremely well. Would most definitely rent again!! Thank you Laura for a wonderful getaway!!

So relaxing

What a wonderful property this was! Fully stocked with everything you can think of. Very easy to get a hold of the owner and get a response, very accommodating. Because of the way the lake runs we found out it’s 40 minutes to the nearest restaurant but 10 minutes by water. We were fortunate enough to have relatives who had a boat and pulled right up to the dock. Had a lot of fun fishing right off the dock. If we came back to this area in Tennessee we would definitely ask to stay in this place again!!!

What a fantastic location to spend our July week of vacation! This exceptionally beautiful & cozy home was even more than we anticipated. From the impeccable decor, VERY comfortable bed & well cared for home, it also provided unexpected items of convenience. Pleasantly surprised to find items provided such as paper products, aspirin/band aids to corn hole game and water floats. The home owners were extremely gracious to check on us that we safely arrived, had no questions and to having a safe travels home message to us. We definitely look forward to visiting Brian & Laura’s lake home again in the future.

Family Getaway

We had a great time staying at this lake house! We were able to wake up to beautiful mornings on the screened in porch. The view is so pretty! The house had everything we needed which was so great. We pretty much were the only people out in the lake in our cove most times, so it’s very quiet. There we’re plenty of things to float on and my teens took the canoes out every day. They also fished off of the dock and caught a ton of fish! We visited the University of Tennessee and went into Knoxville to eat which was a short 30 minute drive from the house. The town is so cute and CLEAN, parking is so easy to find, and there are so many cute restaurants! The boys also booked a fishing trip with a guide that was only 20 minutes away. I highly recommend booking a trip here!

Can I give more than 5 stars?

Great location on a quiet cove. Spotless clean. This home has EVERYTHING you need. Just bring your clothes, groceries and sunscreen. This home is so well stocked! The kitchen has everything you need to cook, I mean it’s so well stocked there was a rolling pin in the utensil drawer and a blender on the countertop (I don’t even own a rolling pin). There were bath and beach towels (and extras in the closets). There were extra pillows and blankets. USB outlets on the nightstands next to the beds. A little portable speaker in the kitchen. Some really homey touches I didn’t know I would love like laundry baskets in the closets. There was shampoo, conditioner and lovely bars of ivory soap in the bathrooms. Games and puzzles for you to use. The home is decorated really nicely too. The screened in porch was amazing. We had some rainy nights and it was great having our nightcap on the porch listening to the rain. Under that porch is water toys for your use, kayaks, floats, life jackets and fishing poles. Our teen boys enjoyed those. They had fun fishing off the dock. Also, really great hosts with wonderful communication. Laura texted us one night to make sure we were ok because she knew we had a storm. She was very responsive if we needed a recommendation, like grocery shopping locations (tip-grocery shop on the way because you won’t want to leave once you get there).

We had an AMAZING stay! The home is so comfortable and relaxing. We took the boat, and had some wonderful days out on the water, then enjoy sittin out listening to the crickets in the sceened in porch. The kitchen is beautiful and has everything you need, and of high quality. It's a very nice home in a very beautiful location. My experience with the owner was smooth and flawless. We are already planning our next visit

Weekend at the Shed

A group of us (friends) came for a long weekend of music at The Shed. This place was PERFECT! The weather was nice, the lake was wonderful to wake up to. We didn't get a change to take anything out on the lake, but we did enjoy the dock for a bit. The beds were so comfortable, everyone came out the first morning and said the same thing, "I need to find out what that mattress is and I'm getting one!". Location was not bad, others complained about the curvy road, which it and it's very narrow at some points but we made the trip in and out over 10 times and it's really not that far or that bad. This was probably the most well stocked house I've ever stayed at, we brought extra trash bags, paper towels, utensils, paper plates, coffee filters, etc and didn't need any of it! Overall, every person in our group loved this house the most out of all the ones we've all stayed at together. We hope to be able to rent again for the next time!

Not Exceptional

This is a good property, but not Exceptional as listed. The drive off the the main road to the property is a 2 lane very curvy road that is very dark if traveling at night. There is a steep driveway leading down to the garage and parking. To get to the living area there are more steep stairs. The house is beautiful inside and the screened porch and lake view are wonderful. The house was not as clean as mentioned in other reviews. We had food left on the front steps leading into the house that was not thrown away. The carpets in the bedrooms had not been vacuumed. There are an extreme amount of cobwebs inside the garage, outside on the porches, and in the area where dock equipment is kept with a variety of type of spiders including a few black widows. The kayaks, life vests, chairs for the dock were covered in webs. We stayed in the Fall and had to listen to acorns hitting the tin metal roof during the night. We had no idea about this and the first night was very upsetting not knowing what the loud bangs hitting the house were. This lead to very disturbed sleep at night. We had a major problem with the BBQ on the deck. It caught fire on the inside when we were just heating it up for the first time. Turning the burners off, as well as the propane tank did not stop the fire. We had black smoke and fire coming out of the BBQ. Thankfully we were able to locate a fire extinguisher. Communication with the host was very minimal and did not address all questions.
