The living room furniture is very tired and sofas are dirty, maybe due to the log burning stove. In general the room wasn't inviting to sit in but it did mean we used the lovely private walled garden to sit out in. Upstairs rooms all clean and comfortable. We reported a few minor things such as greasy bakeware and a few spots where more attention was needed to cleanliness so hopefully these will be resolved by hosts. The microwave being one as it has a very rusty patch on the interior of the door. Parking is very helpful and the location is perfect for visiting local walks and attractions. We had a lovely meal at the Square and Compass at the bottom of the hill.
