Stones Throw is a new holiday property and we’re excited to welcome guests to this lovely part of Grange-over-Sands. We first fell in love with the area because of its peaceful coastal charm, beautiful promenade walks, and its perfect location close to the stunning Lake District.

We enjoy spending time here ourselves and exploring the surrounding countryside, cafés, local shops and the segway trips LOL. It’s a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the slower pace of this special corner of Cumbria.

As hosts, we want every guest to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We’ve tried to make the cottage feel like a true home away from home, and we’re always happy to help guests make the most of their visit.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Grange-over-Sands because of its peaceful coastal charm, beautiful promenade walks, and the relaxed pace of life by the bay. The town has a lovely atmosphere with independent cafés, local shops, and stunning views across Morecambe Bay.

What makes the area even more special is how much there is to explore nearby. Just a short drive away is the historic village of Cartmel, famous for its award-winning food scene including the Michelin-starred restaurant L'Enclume, as well as the popular Cartmel Racecourse which hosts race days throughout the year.

You’re also within easy reach of Lake Windermere, where visitors can enjoy boat trips, lakeside walks, watersports, charming villages, and some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lake District.

For us, it’s the perfect mix of coastal relaxation, fantastic food, and easy access to the Lake District, which is why we were so excited to create Stones Throw as a place for guests to experience it too.

Stones Throw combines the character of a traditional coastal building with a beautifully finished, high-spec interior. Set within an elegant Edwardian property, the apartment reflects the charm of the surrounding area and perfectly complements the nearby Grange-over-Sands Promenade.

One of the things guests notice most is the sense of space and light. The property is arranged over three spacious floors, giving guests plenty of room to relax and unwind. Large sash windows flood the rooms with natural light, enhancing the bright and airy feel throughout.
