This cottage is a little gem. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped . The views from the main bedroom are breathtaking. Lesley and Robert live on site. Very welcoming and they are committed to making sure that you have a great stay.Fantasy base for visiting the lakes.
Everything about Drover's Cottage exudes class & quality. The beds, mattresses, duvets, pillows and linen were some of the most comfortable I have experienced on holiday. The bathrooms are well appointed with great showers and large cosy towels. It is extremely comfortable, and even though it is situated on a working farm (which for me added to it's charm) inside & out is incredibly neat & tidy, and so well thought-out. Definitely recommend.
This unit is fully fitted and decorated, just like someone's home! Lesley and Robert are lovely helpful hosts.
We stayed 6 weeks in April/May 2023 and used this location for day trips into the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District.
A real gem...highly recommended!!
Converted farm building to very high standard.
Lesley and Robert were lovely hosts, always available when needed but never intrusive.
This is a working sheep farm but Robert showed us where we could walk our dog safely.
3 of us and the dog had a very happy week here while walking the Dales Way. Thank you.
Vielen Dank.
Superior decor, fixtures and fittings. Cottage had everything we needed and being allowed to walk our dogs(on a lead of course) anywhere across the owner's fields was an added bonus.
What a great property this is. Super clean, super warm and cosy and full of everything you need for a quiet break but nice and close to town. Great locstion and lovely hosts. Thank you. We will be back at some point.
Lovely property in a great setting, only minutes from Kendal. Property has literally everything that you could need, we were not wanting for anything. It was very clean when we arrived and Lesley met us as soon as we got there. We had a brilliant holiday in the Lakes, but the property is ideally situated to visit the Dales as well. Plenty of room for the two of us and three teenage kids. Would definitely book again if we return to Cumbria. Thank you Lesley and Robert for a perfect stay.

We had a great time, the house was brilliant... furnished and decorated to high standards. Super comfortable, very well equipped. Lovely touches left by Leslie and Robert. Thank you very much both for Bella’s ball, and our goodies. Hope to see you next year.
If this is your first time in the area...Sainsburys and Morrison only 10 minutes drive, lots of choices of restaurants in Kendal. We tried the Thai and Spanish restaurants, Fish and chips take away. Took a trip to Bowness and hired a boat on the lake, If you travel with children try Brookhall, we did kayaking, paddle boarding and other activities.
A beautiful and peaceful location not far from the lakes.
Have fun!
We had a lovely long weekend in a beautiful cottage. We had everything we needed and so did the dog. We would highly recommend Patton Hall Farm and hope to visit again sooon.

Lovely property on working farm very close to Kendal
Cottage conversion with ample room for four adults. Next door property also a rental. Well furnished and equipped and good standard of cleanliness. Owners very friendly. Property is approx 15 minutes from town centre with two large supermarkets on this side of town. Last mile of the journey is on single track lane with passing places and then down a steep farm drive. Small terrace garden in middle of working farm. Parking not a problem in designated spaces. Views to the west are stunning.
Excellent property very high standard and perfect for relaxation and central to explore the sights a
Lesley and Robert couldn’t have been any more helpful and being on-site was an added bonus, nothing was an issue.

About the host
Hosted by Robert or Lesley Hodgson
Hi we are the Hodgson family, myself Robert, my wife Lesley, daughter Stacey and son Danny. The farm has been in the family for over 65 years and the 4 of us work hard to keep our 150acre traditional sheep farm working. In our spare time we enjoy the odd holiday, walking and sampling all the local eatery's.

All we offer is a bit of luxury in our newly converted cottage. We have beautiful views, peace and quiet with lots of site seeing, lovely scenery and pleasant walks on the door step. If you like an evening drive, why not take a drive along the country roads and find a country pub for supper. We live on site so any needs you have, we are always here
