About this property

1 bedroom home, surrounded by various palm trees, plumerias, hibiscus. Enjoy great ocean and garden views from the huge covered deck or the private sitting patio just out the kitchen door. Separate private driveway entrance, stairs and parking.

Ocean Palms is comfortably arranged with stools at the table and a seating area with sofa. There is a TV, and fast internet .

The kitchen is fully appointed with refrigerator, gas range, microwave, blender and coffee maker. A full complement of dishes, glasses, cooking pots, pans, utensils, flatware, is provided.

Queen bed and freestanding closet in a spacious bedroom. The bath has a full sized shower. Step outside onto the covered deck, where you will spend most of your at home time, table, chairs and lounge await you.

Buddha overlooks the spa pool, shared with the apartment unit and the owner, where you can see and hear the ocean while you rest in bubbling water with the beverage of your choice.

Ocean Palms is powered by a full solar system with batteries which means there are no power surges or outages of electricity. For 1-2 week rentals, the electric is included. Butane for your cooking and hot showers is included in the rental price. Nice breezes off the sea are with us year round. AC unit is on a separate meter and is a extra cost at approximately .37 cents per kwh.

Drinking water is provided by a Seagull water filter (no chemicals) there is a special faucet on the sink so there is no need to buy or haul water. For monthly renters, the use of the washing machine once a week is included in the rental price. Smoking is allowed outside but not inside.

This is the perfect long or short term vacation spot on the East End of Roatan, quieter and eco friendly. Various water sports, restaurants close by, or just relax on the deck with beverage and a book.

Wonderful Stay!!

The host Liz is a wonderful person. I had some trouble initially finding the rental but Liz was extremely helpful and even went and met me and showed me how to get to the bungalow. The bungalow is exactly as described in the listing. Very well maintained and very comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and any issue at all the host, Liz, was quick to respond and take care of.. Because the property is in Honduras Liz graciously gave me a tour of where the best place was to buy groceries and to dine. I had an emergency dental issue and she called a dentist an got me in right away. The dentist did superb work, better than any dental care that I have ever received in the United States. I just can't say enough about how wonderful the host was and what a lovely place the rentall. was. I give the vacation a 20 star rating!!

Jungle quiet

The stay was exactly as advertised, a clean well maintained property with a fabulous deck. Liz was a great host & as hands on or off as you desire. If you are looking for a quiet, really quiet relaxing stay, this is the place. We’ll be back.

Wonderful Property

The house and accommodations are great. Access to the beach is not recommended from the unit. It’s safer to walk down a few houses for access. Having said that, the tides were too high to even see a beach. This property is really outstanding regardless of a few minor issues that follow. Be prepared to provide your own condiments since there are none in the unit. Also, purchase ice because the ice maker was not working. This is also being said to alert the homeowner of the situation. Also, be patient with the lockbox. Make sure you clear everything before proceeding. If you do, it works effortlessly. Finally, the key in the basket to the outside suite works better than the one one the ring. In preparing for these minor issues, your stay should be fabulous. Enjoy!

Amazing Stress-free Getaway

Our stay at Ocean Palms in Politilly was the most relaxing part of our two week vacation to Roatan, Honduras. Ms. Liz Riggs is a wonderful host who had the best pre-stay communication, which included very detailed directions, suggestions on places to eat & explore, & even a map of the area, all before arriving! The unit was immaculate. Brand new. It had every single thing a person would need including a large fridge, 4 slot toaster, drink blender, new soft bed, bath towels & beach towels, dishes, cooking pans, drink cups, air conditioning, security safe, bulldog security system, and remote controlled lights & fans. Seriously, there was not one thing missing from the unit that we could think of! The soaker pool/tub on the property was our favorite. Best way to cool off, has jets and evening color-changing lights, was great for relaxing. Politilly is located on the less populated East end of the island. It is great for people that want to have a relaxing getaway. The only drawback is that you need to have a rental car or vehicle to stay here. It’s a little off the beaten path. We knew this ahead of time, so it was part of the plan & not an issue at all. Ms. Liz has been on the island for 10+ years & is an amazing wealth of knowledge. She is a very caring & accommodating host, yet not overbearing. We can’t wait for our next trip to Roatan to stay at Ocean Palms again.

Amazing Well Taken Care of Bungalow for Two!

We were more than pleasantly surprised at our sweet little bungalow in Politilly Bight. This quaint little bungalow is on the same property as the owner. It is super well kept and had so many amenities. Well stocked with all you need. The quality of everything was more than we expected. Although the owner lives on the property you have complete privacy which we appreciated. The view and location were amazing and we would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!! Thanks Liz for providing such a beautiful place to stay when you're travelling so far away from home. We miss all your sweet dogs already!! They all made it very homey. We will be back one day for sure.
