Quirky Chapel Conversion In The Beautiful Dysynni Valley | Brynhoreb
This quirky chapel conversion in the beautiful Dysynni Valley comes with a mighty mountain backdrop and is close to the seaside at Tywyn. Sleeps up to 7 guests in four bedrooms, including two ground floor bedrooms.
Located in the quiet hamlet of Bryncrug, Brynhoreb offers bright, welcoming accommodation, with plenty of room for a decent sized holiday gang. It is ideally placed for exploring the mountains and coast of stunning southern Eryri (Snowdonia).
The chapel has been lovingly renovated to preserve the original character of the building with a complementary mix of stylish contemporary furnishings. We love the luxurious natural textures - including slate, terracotta, Welsh wool and sheepskin, used throughout, and the light from the chapel's beautifully coloured windows is just wonderful.
On the ground floor, there is a large open plan living space and dining room. A plump sofa, rocking chair and a couple of comfortable armchairs are arranged around a toasty Aga Westbury Electric Stove. To one end of this bright room, a dining table seats up to eight, and there is a comfortable window seat, ideal for a spot of quiet reading or daydreaming.
A handy spacious boot room can be found in the basement to store your walking boots after a day exploring this beautiful area.
The very decent-sized kitchen is smart, modern, and well-equipped. We love that the kitchen's colour palette has been inspired by that of its beautiful window. There is a double electric cooker and hob, with all the equipment and appliances you might need.
Also downstairs are two good sized double bedrooms along with a shared ground floor bathroom with a bath and shower.
Upstairs, there are two further bright bedrooms, one double and one single. The bedrooms have been artfully furnished, in keeping with the rest of the cottage. There are also two fabulous bathrooms upstairs, both with rolltop baths and walk in showers. And just in case you need to catch up on a few emails your hols, there is a lovely bright study up there too.
This really is a most wonderful part of the world. There are some great walks straight out of the front door, taking in the slopes of Tarren Y Gesail, and stations on the Talyllyn Railway line (Rhydyronen and Brynglas are the closest), amongst other lovely places. The summit of the mighty Cadair Idris is a mere eight or so miles away, and you can be at the seaside villages of Tywyn (Towyn) and Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) in just a handful of minutes by car.
We’re happy to welcome 3 well-behaved dogs. Please keep them supervised at all times and don’t leave them unattended. To keep the space comfy for everyone, we kindly ask that they stay off the furniture and out of the bedrooms. Feel free to bring their favourite bed, blanket, and anything else to make them feel at home! Although Brynhoreb has no garden, it does have outdoor seating spaces to the front of the chapel and in an enclosed side patio with great views.
One Travel Cot and Highchair on request (cot-linen not provided).
